In autumn, at the moment of harvest, the hops’ aromatic oils and flavours crecendo to give the beer its complex structure and rich taste. The authentic Quebec hops that we selected are handpicked and delivered no later than 24 hours after harvesting are then used to brew 1re Récolte.

---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

750 ml bottle. Pours a cloudy pale golden with a short lived white head. Aroma is hoppy, herbal, fruity, vegetable-y. Flavor is herbs, hops, some fruits, but especially, overboiled veggies. Finish is some light citrus, but loads of boiled vegetables. Medium body, somewhat oily mouthfeel, strong carbonation.

Pours a cloudy yellow/gold with suspended solids(looks like bits of hops) and a large long lasting dense white head, leaving a good amount of lace on the glass. Aroma is sweet citrus, fresh grass, and sweet candy. Flavour is sweet malts, sweet citrus, fresh grass, mild bitterness and a creamy mouth feel. Really tasty brew.

Thanks to cfrancis for this one. First beer of 2014! Pours a hazy golden orange with lots of particles in suspension due to the fresh hops... Huge frothy white head. Aroma is fresh grass, citrus hoppy goodness with a nice cotton candy malty sweetness in the background. Taste is grassy, medicinal and earthy from the fresh hops... Literally like they are right from the garden and have some dirt on them. Some malty sweetness of the the finish with a bit of a bitter bite as well. Medium low carbonation keeps this beer well balanced but overall could use more bitterness and the fresh hop flavor kinda kills the mojo on what was so promising on the nose.

pours slightly hazy pale golden with a nice white head, some retention and lacing. fruity and spicy, lots of citrus and strawberry-like hops, apricots, metal, phenols, grainy and toasted lightly sweet cereals along with cooked veggies - yes, cabbage as some pointed out (or your favourite sulfur-rich green veggie). average carbonation - relatively high, light body, relatively dry grassy-citrusy and a tad too herbal-mineral-cabbagy finish. slightly boozy and off. it is then not a success, but it is far from the worst of harvest ales..
