COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Like the Blonde d'Achouffe brewed by Le Cheval Blanc, this beer is not a copy of the original Chouffe family, but a beer brewed in cooperation with and in honor of the Belgian micro.

A hazy orange beer with a disappearing orange head. The aroma is sweet and quite hoppy. The flavor is sweet and very hoppy with a slight alcohol burn.

UPDATED: MAR 9, 2005 Bottled. Cloudy pale brown. Yeasty and orangey. Light-medium bodied . Toffee and grass is there, as is some almonds. Lively mouthfeel, low bitterness.

Cloudy amber color, poor head. The aroma is malty and herbal, yeasty; nice but strange. Some malt and caramel, some herbs, too dry for its strength. Drinkable but not impressive.

Orangey-brown. Toffee malts and dark fruits in the aroma. Body is similar, but with added leafy, twiggy notes.

Hazy brown reddish ale with a thick off white head. A sweet malt aroma with strong coriander notes, light pineapple notes. In mouth signs of autolysis and phenol. A sweet malt with strong coriander added. Relatively young bottle (less than 3 mo.). Medium bodied. Late November 2006.

Similiar spice to the blonde however prettier colour. Or perhaps a tad spicier. Some herbs and floral aroma. A tad sour yeast and peppery aftertaste. Still a "pale" reflection of the real Belgian La Chouffe or its variations. Thanks Jercraigs.
