Purchased at Albertsons in Clarkston, Washington, this poured clear amber with a foamy head and good lacing. Nose of caramel malts and citrus and floral hops. Medium mouthfeel. Flavor is good balance of malts and hops. Light bitter finish. Decent APA.

Cornfield (5569) - Oak Forest, Illinois, USA - AUG 21, 2006
Pours a clear amber/copper body with a creamy off-white head The aroma’s a nice balancing of swet malts, slightly grainy, with grapefruit and pine hop scents. Medium bodied. The flavor takes on mofre of the expected caramel, but the balance tips towards a hoppy bitterness that lasts well into the finish. A very sessionable ale.

It’s been an unusual week, and it’s only Wednesday. 6 new beers at the *Albertson’s*, for goodness’ sakes - and I’m becoming convinced that Andy Kaufman is actually alive and hidden out in a trailer someplace watching satellite television. As for the beer -- sweet, soft, citrus-floral nose with some candy. Very well-done label and cap, clear orange beer with a huge khaki head. Bitter orange marmalade-peel bitter, medium sweetness, candyish at times. Medium to medium-heavy mouth, very long medium-heavy bitter aftertaste. Sweet on the lips. This did alright.

BückDich (5464) - McCall, Idaho, USA - JUL 6, 2006
Amber color, light head, average lacing. Nose of light spruce and lemon. Light alcohol and alkaline malts. The flavor is a bit thin, and has notes of caramel. Needs some biscuit or doughy character to it. Boring pale ale.

ThomasE (5174) - Copenhagen, DENMARK - FEB 19, 2007
Light hazy orange, amber colour with a small off white head. Malty, light caramel sweet aroma with a hoppy fruity note. Malty, caramel sweet flavor with a fruity and light hoppy finish.

Dickinsonbeer (5074) - Hoboken, New Jersey, USA - AUG 14, 2007
Pours a slightly hazy coppery light amber with a nice lasting off white head and some decent lace. Aroma is pretty bland, some light wet paper, stale hops and crackery malts. Flavor has some solventy paint thinner character, light crystal malts, soggy paper and more stale crap. Slightly watery taste with a harsh solvent aftertaste. Should have known better than to try this from City.

Pours a nice orangish color. Aroma is grassy hops. Flavor of a classic pale, big grassy hop flavor.

muzzlehatch (4970) - Beloit, Wisconsin, USA - FEB 15, 2008
12 ounce bottle from City Market in Burlington VT (February 2008), served a little below cellar temperature from a Fitger’s pint glass. Pours a pale, slightly hazy amber-gold, smallish white smooth head lasts, doesn’t lace or leave any real residue...light woody hops, caramel, a bit of dry, crusty citrus -- lemon out in the sun too long -- and some undefinable rotting character in the aroma, which despite my negative comments isn’t terrible, merely....odd....the body has a pronounced detergent character, a slick soapy note that does fade around midpalate but leaves an unpleasant tingle, along with the rather strong and artificial-seeming carbonation, and the very dry and burnt woody notes at the finish....some lighter fruity touches at the beginning help mitigate what could be a disaster, but all in all this is not good, and thus a quite worthy addition to the already poor City line-up.

IndianaRed (4936) - Boise, Idaho, USA - JUL 13, 2006
UPDATED: JUL 11, 2007 Bottle Pours a slightly hazy orange amber. Decent sandy colored head and spotty lacing. Nice subtle citrusy hops aroma. Flavor is decidedly sweet and lacing in the hop bitterness that the aroma teased me with. Nice smooth feel and a decent body, but not very interesting flavor. Sweet and malty, light brown sugar, honey and just as I am about to take another sip, a little bitterness creeps in.

Blairgus (4613) - California, USA - AUG 19, 2014
19 aug 2014, bottle. Light orange, clear, steady bubbles. Nose is rich, malty, some peaches, orange juice. Med body and fizzy. Rich, tropical fruit, peaches, granola malt, but mainly fruity. Pretty good.
