COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A finely-bubbled beer made from wheat and barley. Like the traditional Belgian "White" it is refreshing, light and slightly fruity. Bottle refermentation imparts a yeast enriched flavor.

Not to be confused with the separate Blanche made by the brewpub Cheval Blanc.

New bottles do not feature "de blé" anymore, but simply La Blanche and Cheval Blanc.

Bread-y, wheat-ish aroma. Pours a cloudy light yellow with small amounts of white head. A bit of fruitiness up front -- lemon zest and some orange adds tanginess to a neat, well-balanced whit. Well-carbonated but smooth. A great beer for a sunny patio.

Originally rated November 2004. Poured a cloudy golden-white colour with a fluffy head. Nose was of citrus and spices. The taste was also of spices, specially coriander. Had a crsip finish. This brew is very close to Boréale Blanche (which I prefer of the two).

Yellowish with a white, smoky look. Much more limpid than most commercial whites. Average white head with very good retention. Tastes quite sweet, with citrus being very dominant. Good level of acidity on the tongue. A refreshing white beer.

Light citrus aroma. Light sweet taste. Nothing very special about it but very refreshing. Does what a white should do.

Bomber. Brings back fond memories as I think this one of the, if not the beer that introduced me to micros - so thanks to Martin and others in Montreal who went to university at McGill and Concordia and so brought me closer to being a beer nerd! Pale but vibrant yellow with a generous white head. Some yeast, grains, banana, hints of clove and coriander. Good carbonation, good body for a wit, some cloves for sure, becomes a little thin on the finish, sweet throughout with a bit of dryness at the end. A decent "white" and a great introductory beer.
