From old tasting notes. Translucent copper red color topped by a big creamy beige head. Rich winey roasted malt aroma. Complex, yeasty, fruity malt flavor hints at currants and toffee. Quite enjoyable.

Belle couleur. Bonne petite scotch ale légère de 6%. Goût de caramel présent. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Deep hazy dark brown color, with a copper hue, and a moderate amount of activity. Slightly creamy light brown 2 finger head, lasting around 5 minutes, with faint legs. Flavors of molasses, burnt caramel, ester fruits, dark berries, walnuts, faint chocolate and coffee, herbal spices and slightly earthy. Dominating sugars, not excessive, with faint bitterness. Smooth medium to full body with very sharp prickly carbonation. Light to medium strength finish, lingering a little with a sugary molassy feel, a little barrel aged, and roasted malts. Overall this is a good quality craft. A little soft and too accessible, while the flavors are pretty good and well refreshing. Probably too much carbonation, but the finish is well balanced.

Bière assez basique dans le style, sans défaut m’étant perceptible ni trait positif marquant... C’est tourbeux, minéral et aqueux surtout. Fruits rouges confits et prunes sont ce que je goûte principalement.

341ml bottle. Clear burgundy with a foamy beige head. Flavors are bread, dried fruits, toffee and molasses with spicy and woodsy notes. Medium body, moderate to good carbonation, slick texture.

De couleur cuivre avec avec peu everfesssance. On n’a des notes de caramel et lèger de notes floral . On goûte le malt caramélisé mais le est lèger avec un soupçon de houblon floral . C est une Biere correct .

Good beer, it’s like a lighter version of the Trois-Pistoles by Unibroue. Dark coat, hoppy nose (but less fruity element than TP and more grass) and a creamy texture. It’s one of the first beers I ever reviewed back when I started tasting beer back in ’09.

Luvystypotables (1967) - Virginia Beach, Virginia, USA - AUG 4, 2014
Aroma of malt with a reddish brown colour and a lasting off white head. Taste of malt watery feel with a weak malt palate.

nasmith003 (252) - Virginia, USA - AUG 4, 2014
Black cherry color with a yeasty aroma. Malt and hops clash on the tongue and the hops lingers long after is pleasant.

Poured from a bottle. Clear burgundy color, medium tan head. Strong yeast aroma. Medium body with a light rotten fruit flavor and a week finish. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
