Over carbonated in the bottle. Nice color and creamy white head. Flavors are very subtle but lacks the spiciness typical in English ales. Kind of woody aroma. Although some spicy notes are subtle. edgallow (4154) - nashville, Tennessee, USA - OCT 30, 2014

On tap at the brewpub.
Clear dark brown body with a decent head.
Modestly appealing aroma features medium and caramel malts but is not matched by the bland, malty flavor.
OK feel. pacv27 (53) - - AUG 10, 2014

12 oz undated bottle served in a pint glass (from July 2011 tasting notes).
Pours a dark mahogany brown with a modest of white head that quickly reduces to a ring and a few thin ’islands’. Slightly hazy.
Somewhat weak but pleasant aroma of mixed malts, slightl floral and nutty. The mixed malts comes through in the flavor which seems to have several varieties: perhaps most obviously, chocolate. Nutty, with hints of coffee and hops in the ever-so-slightly dry finish.
M - medium/thin body with medium carbonation. Crisp.
Taken from notes. Sweet, smooth, with undertones of brown sugar. Lacks complexity

Not living up to their ’Son of A Peach’ status. This one failed to meet the mark of a good conversation brown. mike5326 (1744) - virginia beach, Virginia, USA - APR 17, 2014

Bottle at home. Pours cloudy and particulate brown with a huge, frothy light beige head, long retention with good lacing. Aroma is nutty, light chocolate, toasty and bready malt, dates, earthy and spicy hops. Flavor is medium hops and moderate bitterness, sweet chocolate, toasty, nutty, and bready malt with light date notes and a dry finish. Medium-light body and moderate carbonation. This is a bit over-carbonated.
