Served from bottle into a shaker. Pours a dark brown with a minimal off-white head. Maintained good lacing thoughout. The aroma was comprised of roasted malt and nutty notes. The flavor followed the nose with light roasted malt and nutty characters. It was light on the palate with low carbonation. Overall this was not a bad brew. However, the flavors of this one were quite muted for some odd reason, as it warmed up they came out a little more but were still not pronounced. Still a nice brown ale that is worth trying.
Sugary malt with molasses backbone. Finish is a little flat, but it’s a decent brown ale. Bacchus66 (951) - South Carolina, USA - AUG 8, 2017

Sent to me by Strykzone. Pours dark brown. Tan head. Nose of chocolate. Medium body. Flavor is fruit and chocolate. Finish is bitter. Nice beer. JPDIPSO (6287) - Wauwatosa, USA - NOV 30, 2016
Toasted and earthy malt aromas along with a herbal hops component. Caramel and toasted malt flavors. A touch acidic. A standard brown in my book. 10/11

12 ounce bottle. Dark brown and opaque. A nice fluffy beige head leaves inconsistent lacing. A lighter aroma of cocoa and grain. A dry beer to start. Grain is prominent along with something like oats. Some kind of dark fruit with currants (?). Different flavors here. Earth and very gentle bitterness. Chocolate is noted but it is under the grain and earth. This is easy drinking and generally sweet. Flavors are not big and it drinks easily. Poured from bottle.
Aroma of caramel, malt and a tiny bit of hops.
Appearance is solid brown, lacing head.
Tasting roasted malt, burnt caramel, hops, butterscotch, veggies. Slightly sour on back.
Pretty easy drinking, Not too carbonated.
Overall, a decent, inoffensive brew. wombat23 (1785) - Texas, USA - MAR 20, 2016
Shared 12 oz. bottle. Pours a cloudy amber with a minimal beige head. Aroma is mainly malty, with perhaps hints of dark fruits. Taste is sweet caramel malt and is also very nutty (maybe chestnuts) and bitter, to the point of being rather unpleasant. Disappointing. darbeer75 (991) - Round Rock, Texas, USA - MAR 20, 2016
Aroma: simply malty with no other notes; Appearance: chocolate brown with no head -- at all; Taste: strong chocolate and malt, but not in a good way; somewhat watery with an odd tasting finish; Palate: medium body with little carbonation; Overall: not very pleasant; would not buy again. keepersj12 (3137) - Sicklerville, New Jersey, USA - MAY 30, 2015
Caramel color with a small head. The aroma mild with caramel. The flavor is more caramel. A bit thin but a tasty brew.
