12oz bottle shared courtesy of Josh. Poured a medium and hazy amber color with a smaller sized off white head. Aromas of citrus, nuttiness, caramel, and some fruitiness. Tastes of citrus, caramel, and the same fruitiness. haddon90 (1634) - Newport Beach, California, USA - JUL 25, 2009
Bottle. Pours a hazy copper color with a thin head. Springy aroma, with some caramel and citrus all put together. Nice, smooth taste. Malt and citrus, with a hint of hops. No dry finish, and the alcohol is masked pretty well. Kind of surprised that the ABV is so high! fiver29 (1036) - Cleveland, Ohio, USA - JUL 22, 2009
Bottle pours cloudy amber color with light tan head. Aroma is caramel, slight alcohol, and it has that old ale style aroma to it. Voluptuous mouthfeel. Flavor is caramel, butterscotch, sweet malt, and finishes semi dry. This reminds of a nice old ale. Nice. jgb9348 (6328) - Arlington (Pentagon City), Virginia, USA - JUL 16, 2009
Very cloudy copper coloured body with an orange glow and a thinnish (one centimetre) tan head. Aroma of strong hops, alcohol, caramel, toffee, pit fruits and a bit of peat - smells like a barley wine with a bit of an Imperial IPA scent to it. Light-bodied, if that’s possible! Mild malty flavour with not much behind the initial taste showing some alcohol, a bit of pit fruits and not much else really - insane for such a strong smelling beer! Aftertaste shows a little bit of hops and a tiny bit of pit fruits and almost nothing else! Overall, a pretty interesting beer - I was expecting much more from the taste, but this one is very weak in the flavour - the look and smell are nice, but there is nothing at all to this beer! I sampled this twelve ounce bottle purchased at Total Wine in Chantilly, Virginia on 11-July-2009, sampled on 15-July-2009 at home in Washington. Sampled during Dark Lord Day 09 via 12-oz bottle at table 3. Pours a semi-hazy copper amber colored brew with a thin off white head that quickly dissipates to a film top. Aroma of caramel and golden grain malt, some citrus zest, light tropical fruit and some orange. Taste is medium bodied, some extra carbonation with flavors of caramel malt, some alcohol presence, tropical fruit and some citrus zest. Finish is semi-dry, slightly metallic from the higher alcohol with a mild bitterness that slowly disappears.

$1.80 for a single bottle at Wine Warehouse, Charlottesville. Amer with a small head. Sweet malts and breadiness in the nose. Bland blend of hops and malts and finishes sweet. Hides the alcohol pretty well. jcwattsrugger (12471) - Florida and, New Jersey, USA - JUL 11, 2009
