Opaque black - brown beer. Big big pale tan head. Palate is crispy with sharp minerals. Creamy dark malt - a little brown in character. Touch of caramel and super mild roast, slightly bitter. Traces of red berry fruits and pine hops. Unsweet dark chocolate. Crispy finish. Semi bitter aftertaste from both hops and roast malt. Hangs together well.

Medium sweet flavor, more burnt marshmallows, strong roast, torched wood, chocolate. Medium bodied with fine carbonation. Well roasted malt finish, some milky coffee, roasted marshmallows, milk chocolate. Pretty damn tasty.

Keg at Craft Conundrum, Charleston, 18/02/15. Light black with a decent tan covering. Nose is light roast, bitter hops, earthy, liquorice. Taste comprises more liquorice notes, spice, earthy, light pine. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close. Lower end of the CDA spectrum for me but drinkable none the less.
