An American-style Hefeweizen wheat beer, unfiltered with a fruity nose. Try it with a slice of orange. Craft brew and fresh fruit – now that’s what we call a balanced diet. 5.5% abv

Bottle pours slightly hazy amber color with white head. Aroma is almost nonexistent. What is there I get sweet malt. There is way too much carbonation and stings. Flavor is astringent grain and is not good at all. My first drain pour from this brewer.

12oz bottle Pours hazy orange foa y white head. Fruity aroma of fresh pie, hints of spices. somewhat sweet scented nose. sweet malt flavor, hints of unsalted sunflower seeds. An odd presence of orange zest in the finish. The flavor seems to combine a barley and wheat flavor. Finishes with a hefe character. An odd pale ale flavor with a Hefewiezen finish. Nowhere close to Rogue Soba, and very unique in its own place. Refreshing, tasty, and balanced.

Appearance: Pours a hazy, orange-gold body with a thin, white head. Smell: Sweet-smelling, malty nose with rather mild notes of fruit and spice. Taste: Notably sweetish maltiness with a bready, almost cakey quality to it. Distant, faroff note of field grains. Hint of clove. A drop or two of tangerine oil. Very faint spicy hops with an equally light touch of bitterness. Drying finish. Mouthfeel: Medium-bodied. Medium-plus carbonation. Drinkability: While not the most authentic hefeweizen I’ve come across, it’s still a generally pleasant, refreshing beer.

The aroma was light citrus with a light spice and a low wheat presence with a caramel and fruity character. The beer was lightly hazy (almost muddy) pale golden amber with an off-white tight head which laced the glass from top to bottom. The flavor was more light citrus, namely orange, with spice and an estery fruity presence. Wheat was notable coupled to a slightly sweet flavor. The finish was just dry with lasting light spice and citrus into the aftertaste. The body was medium with a moderate level of carbonation and a creamy texture on the palate. A nice beer. Pint at Delany’s in Spartanburg.

Draught. Pours cloudy yellow with a thin white head. There is an astrigent aroma of wheat and a lime sourness. A little cautious now, I took a sip to discover a pretty decent banana-pop, yeasty flavor with a medium level of citrus. Faint spiced notes are hinted at. I was expecting a thin, sour beverage but rather found a thin, refreshing, sweet brew. Not bad, not great.
