Pours dark brown with a thin film of tan head. Aroma is rich malts and smoky mocha. Flavor is initially bitter with heavy oak vibes and a hint of prune on the end.

Walnut and tobacco, charred oak aroma. Black, thin head. Leather, tobacco, molasses, charred oak and walnut. Medium to full body, easy carbonation. A really good stout from a brewery I don’t usually like very much. Imaena (2315) - Maputo, MOZAMBIQUE - MAR 2, 2016
Bottle. This is a pretty bland and generic stout. Nothing really note worthy here. ChainGangGuy (4894) - Woodstock, Georgia, USA - FEB 25, 2016
12 ounce bottle - $1.99 at Total Wine & More in Kennesaw, Georgia.
Appearance: Pours a very dark brown body with a diminutive, light beige head.
Smell: Chocolaty, carob aroma, a little bit nutty with a fruitiness akin to dates.
Taste: Robustly malty, with a good taste of chocolate, carob, and, as with the nose, it’s a mite bit nutty. Moderately sweet. Dark fruitiness. Sugar-sweetened coffee. Restrained hop character only hinting of pepper and spice and with just a sliver of bitterness. Moderately roasty in the finish.
Mouthfeel: Medium-bodied. Medium carbonation. Lightly creamy mouthfeel.
Overall: Will GB make you cry out GD? Uncertain. BUT, it’s a tasty, likable stout. unclemike (3115) - Ft. Riley, Kansas, USA - JUL 12, 2015
Malty aroma. Taste is roasted malts, well balanced, good co2. Good tasting stout, a little on the thin side or watery for this style. Overall decent, nice bite up front for this brew.

Pint on tap. Opaque with a lasting disc of creamy foam. Mild nose of cocoa, coffee and graham cracker. Flavors of cocoa, caramel, dark toast and a touch of green herb. Near-medium body has a nice balance, a smooth medium carbonation and a slight wateriness that all combine to make a nice session stout. EyeAmBaldman (461) - Illinois, USA - OCT 1, 2014
Pours black with no head from the bottle. Aroma is an overpowering coffee and alcohol. Extreme carbonation in the mouth with notes licorice, dark chocolate and alcohol. This is a very weak attempt at a stout. It just does not taste good.
