The Gruntled Pumpkin planted the seed and started a revolution for all of pumpkin-kind. To guard the promising vines of the future that would eventually blossom to become the bottom of the barrel (and that’s a good thing) of this new pumpkin ale.

pours a clear copper color with a big frothy head. The aroma has notes of pumpkin and citrus. Flavor is same as the aroma. The combination of citrus and pumpkin make for a very nice refreshing autumn ale, and is a nice change from baking spice pairing. This seasonal autumn ale really reminds me of a summer IPA, but with a pumpkin twist.

12oz bottle from WW. Clear golden orange with an off-white head. Pumpkin-pie spice, mild hops, bread, light sweetness. Medium carbonation. Spiced finish turns dry and crisp. Overall not bad (notes)

Smells like pumpkin, malt, allspice. Appearance mediocre amber brown. Taste is strong of pumpkin, malt. Very smooth.. wish it was more carbonated.

Cloudy orange Amber with rimming beige head; aroma is blend of nutmeg and sweet fruit; flava is fresh pumpkin pie not just the spice; feels light with nice subtle fizzy zing; finishes dry tangy malty

Another ok pumpkin. Pours an orange. Smells slightly of pumpkin. Taste is pumpkin, but a weirdly sharp finish. Had on tap at the Lighthouse Beer and Wine Festival in Wilminton, NC.

Sample at TW. Pours clear orange gold, surprising head. Spicy aroma, nutmeg, some pumpkin. Taste is rich spice with hoppy finish. Alcohol well hidden. Surprisingly good beer.

Pumpkin beers already? No way, must be an old bottle left over from last year! Big foamy head with lots of lively co2 visible. Beer has lots of co2 on the tongue as well. Good rocky and foamy experience for eyes and palate. Hazy. OK, after a long search found a date code on the bottom: 7/14. Stronger pumpkin beer with a moderate amount of spices and the alky content is not as in yer face as the 7% would indicate. Typical difficult higher alky punpky beer. Interesting to try this at this time of year. Smooth mellow pumpkin aromas.

Poured from a 12 oz bottle into a pint glass
Aroma- Faint pumpkin and malt
Appearance- This beer is a cloudy orange color with a small white head
Taste- Malt, Pumpkin and a little citrus.
Palate- A medium bodied beer with a mild bit of carbonation.
Overall- an OK pumpkin beer, there are a lot of better ones out there.

kramer (6908) - Sunbury, Pennsylvania, USA - JAN 3, 2015
Bottle. Pours a hazy orange body under a one finger frothy beige head. The nose is pretty spicy, but tempered fairly well with a hefty sweet caramel malt base. The flavor is a bit high on the nutmeg, and I’m tasting some heavy ginger I think. It’s still not quite as bad as many Pumpkin Ales, but it’s still all about the spice and not the pumpkin meat. Medium bodied and a bit clingy with soft fizzy carbonation. Around average for the style, wouldn’t seek it out for a second go around.

Boozy and some sour mash malt. Amber pour with OK head and lacing. A good beer to do a tickers ball style half a half ounce rating. Kind of a sour finish. Just seems like pumpkin with the spices. Tap sample pour at crios.
