Poured light yellow with a grainy aroma. Taste was crisp and clean and lightly hoppy and fruity, but there was no hint of malt as I would expect from a kolsch. Drinkable, but not memorable. unclemattie (4357) - Georgia, USA - SEP 8, 2008

UPDATED: NOV 9, 2010 Draught. Pours quite a light golden hue. Aroma? Is there one? There’s a weird candy sweetness in the watery flavor. This is thin even for a kolsch and not too clean.

Ordered a pint of this at Delaney’s Irish Pub in Spartanburg under the false impression that this was the "Light Rock" which is honestly probably the same beer anyway. Anyway, it’s not as bad as I recall. It’s not extra watery, but it is certainly tame. It pours a bit darker than macro lite beers would. The aroma is grainy with wimpy hops. Flavor is lightly tart with cereal and a gesture at papery hops. You just can’t win at the light beer game. This one has enough flavor for the style, but it’s not crisp or hoppy enough. It kind of reminds me of the corn flakes that fell out of the plastic bag and have been sitting at the bottom of the cereal box until you finally discover them after you thought you ate the whole bag.
