Slightly hazed light golden color. small, but stable off-white head. Aromas of grain, pale malt, and hints of floral to minty hops. Flavors follow the scents. Very bitter in the finish, mostly because of the lack of a malt backbone. 10/11

12 ounce bottle poured into a brandy snifter. Pours a hazy copper color with a white head of foam that dissipates quickly. The aroma has stale cardboard papery character. It is overwhelmingly so. I can usually deal with some oxidation, but this is so bad I am tempted to pour it. The taste is sweet and herbal, but definitely stale. I dont know how old this beer is, but it is definitely past its prime. Carbonation is moderate and the body is appropriate.

Yellow gold color with a large, foamy white head. A bit of a sour citrus nose. Some bready malts and lightly toasted white bread with a bit of lemon and bitter orange peel in the finish. There is an odd tartness to this that may be intentional. Okay beer.

Pours a dark golden hue with a very little white head. Aroma is rather malty with a hint of...vanilla? No, its caramel. Im a huge caramel fan but this just odd. Very weird. Tastes very malty with a ton of caramel in the mouth with a bizarre Scottish vibe...which normally I would like. In this case, it kind of falls flat for me.

12oz Bottle opened on 13th July 2014 and poured into stemmed Corsendonk badged tulip glass at my daughters place in Newport Beach, California. My first beer from this State, up to 30 now. Clear light amber body with carbonation bubbles rising to replenish the already deep off white head. No sediment left the bottle. Uncomplicated but far from dull, this packs a good hop punch in both the nose and taste: the malts being slightly understated and just below the surface, coming into their own towards the finish of each sip and getting more prominent as the beer warmed a little. Overall a very nice easy drink brew and a great find for me to add South Carolina onto my little list of US States ticks.

This is reviewed from notes as this was consumed during some time I spent in Delaware visiting for my brothers wedding. This was served in a pint glass. The appearance was a fairly light amber color with a decent transparency about it. There was a nice one finger white foamy head that dissipated at a nice even pace. There was some adequate light lacing sticking finely to the sides of the glass. The smell were some bitter hops but coming across somewhat burnt as I couldnt really tell if they were citrus, piney or fruity. The hops just seemed burnt. The taste well, that was pretty much the same. Hmmm....ok, well, uh...theres a really fine watery aftertaste and finish. On the palate, this one sits fairly light and sessionable. The carbonation - what carbonation there isnt any. Overall, hmmmm...do I want to say this one missed the mark? Hmmm....normally, I dont like to be that guy, but uh...to quote Bob Uecker in Major League, this ones "just a bit outside."

Bottle pour of golden yellow with a fluffy off white head. Aroma of pine American hops and a big toasted caramel sweetness. Taste of huge bitter piney hops with the a slight sweetness. Med light body with bitter finish. Overall refreshing beer that is just too forward on the hops and out of balance to drink over and over. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

12 oz bottle served in pint glass from tasting notes in Feb. 2011. Production(?) date of 10/13/2010. Small amount of sediment added mid-tasting. A - hazy light amber/gold with limited and short-lived white head that leaves little lacing despite carbonation level (medium+). S - pleasant piney hops with citrus notes and detectable caramel malt. T - good hop hit for an APA. Malt provides significant sweet balance for hops bitterness. Downgraded for feel and for the flavor of the aftertaste.

12 oz bottle courtesy of jcwattsrugger. Pours amber/gold with a slight haze and a one finger white head. Spotty lace. Aroma is mild pale malt and mild hops. Flavor is more malty than hoppy. Medium palate with a mildly bitter finish. It was ok, nothing to get to excited about.
