Strawberry Wheat Ale is the perfect compliment to a hot summer day. At its core is a lightly hopped wheat ale but with over 100lbs of local (Strawberry Hill) strawberries, it becomes the summer beer that many have been waiting for since the creation of its Peachy cousin.

Poured from a 12 oz bottle into a pint glass. A strawberry flavored beer that has a strong fruit aroma. A straw colored beer with a thin white head. A pretty solid brew.

12 oz bottle This was a gift at a birthday party. The beer poured a cloudy dark amber a small head and no lacing. There was a mild aroma of berries. The taste was more neutral than expected. I was expecting more strawberry, but this was managed well. The beer had a light body with soft carbonation. balance. In the heat of the afternoon it was refreshing.

Very nice strawberry smell...wish it was a bit stronger...taste isn’t anything like the smell, much more harsh...not sweet as expected but almost bitter with a very poor aftertaste...very disappointing...thought it would be sweet...bleh

Pours a hazy golden into the glass, with a light wispy white head that reduces to trace lacing. The nose is of strawberries suspended in a simple syrup, almost candied. The flavors are simple, of wheat grain with muddy bitters to finish, all the while strawberry citrus notes surround each portion of the pull. Not cloying at all, the strawberry seems natural, especially nice in the essence after the close. While the strawberry is not "forced", the base wheat brew behind it seems very mediocre. Zesty carbonation provides for a light body and easy seltzer-like mouthfeel. Unfortunately, the battle between strawberries and wheat, instead of working in tandem, fight for top position, really working against one another, instead of providing a palate of synergy. I feel constantly caught between a true "fruit beer" and and a mediocre wheat brew with strawberries integrated as an afterthought. A shame, just not it’s peachy cousin.

Refrigerated 12 oz. brown bottle, bottled on May 23, 2014, poured into a glass. Pours deep golden with lots of suspended yeast, and small white head. Aroma is light strawberry, light/medium body, medium carbonation, and some lacing. Taste is yeasty, hints of strawberry, hints of slightly bitter hops in the finish. Over all bland.

OPIE788 (336) - Ohio, USA - AUG 31, 2014
Draft. poured a cloudy yellow with a white head. Faint aroma of wheat and strawberry. Not much going on here. Not much flavor. Pretty boring. It was a bit refreshing on a hot day.

chinchill (5549) - South Carolina, USA - AUG 31, 2014
On tap at the brewery. Aroma has both light, bready malts and strawberry jam. Flavor is fruity, with a good tart-sweet-bitter balance.

Drake (14495) - Milwaukee, Wisconsin, USA - AUG 30, 2014
12 ounce bottle opened 8/24/14. Pours a hazy orange color with a thin white head. Poor head retention. Aroma of strawberry and citrus with wheat. The taste is wheat, biscuit malt, mild strawberry. Medium bodied.

From a bottle has a very nice strawberry aroma, almost artificially sweet. The taste however, leaves some of that sweetness to be desired. Typical dull fruit beer ale with thosegeneral negative ale attributes. Finish is not quite medicinal.

edgallow (4865) - nashville, Tennessee, USA - AUG 19, 2014
Draft pours amber with a white head. Aroma of fruit, malts and pine. Taste is grain and resin.
