Strawberry Wheat Ale is the perfect compliment to a hot summer day. At its core is a lightly hopped wheat ale but with over 100lbs of local (Strawberry Hill) strawberries, it becomes the summer beer that many have been waiting for since the creation of its Peachy cousin.
UPDATED: SEP 4, 2015 Labeled "Strawberry Wheat" at Roasthouse Pub in Frederick, MD. Served in a pint glass, ambery-golden color with white head. Aroma of strawberries and pale malt sweetness. Taste adds some bread and citrus notes. Light body, moderate carbonation, soft with sweet tart finish. Tasty easy fruit beer.
Pint on tap. Nearly opaque orange-amber with a lasting film of bubbles. Mild nose of berry and crackers. Taste is neutral berry with a nice balance of toast and citrus. Finish has a hint of minty-citrus hops. Light body has medium carbonation and a nice balance.
