Despite the IBUs it does not come across as highly hopped, more like an nicely hopped ESB with plenty of malt backbone deep golden with a nice head ordybill (1805) - Douglasville, Georgia, USA - NOV 7, 2015
Poured from a 12 OZ bottle into a pint glass. The beer is a clear orange amber color with some red tint. The head is small and white. The flavor is a mellow hop flavor that is very refreshing. A real good IPA. Emeister84 (2505) - Charlottesville, Virginia, USA - OCT 27, 2015
Aromas of clementines, mandarin oranges. Clear orange with a fairly lasting white head. Some sweetness, juicy citrus. Light-medium bodied. rondphoto (4468) - Lakeside Park, Kentucky, USA - JUL 17, 2015
on tap @ Railhouse Brewing / Roanoke VA --- Clear dark amber color, white head cover, stripes of lace. Taste is caramel malt that is able to hold on against floral hops. Both move easily to a smooth medium-length finish. A decent conventional brew.

UPDATED: MAY 26, 2015 Draft at the brewery This is an English style IPA. The IPA poured a cloudy light amber color. The hop bitterness is deceptive. The ale had a medium body with average carbonation. There was lingering bitterness at the finish. This was the best of the beers, bu they ran out and I could not fill a growler. Poured from bottle into pint glass
Appearance – Pours a deep amber-orange color with a one finger white head that fades relatively fast to leave a persistent film and a decent level of lacing.
Smell – The aroma is mainly a mix of sweet tangerine and grapefruit hop. Mixed with these aromas are some notes of an earthy hop aroma as well as some caramel smell.
Taste – A slightly sweeter bready flavor meets the tongue with a very light pine taste present as well. Quickly some flavors of a more citrus nature enter the taste. At the forefront they are more tangerine in nature, but as the taste advances more grapefruit hop enters the taste. In the end a rather satisfying blend of sweet, bread and hop are left to linger on the tongue.
Mouthfeel – The body of the beer is on the just above side in terms of creaminess with a carbonation level that is rather average. Rather nice for the hoppy flavors but yet still very drinkable and refreshing with the moderate level of carbonation.
Overall –A rather easy drinking and yet tasty brew with a good balance between bready, sweet and hop. Beergeek23322 (2602) - Chester, Virginia, USA - JAN 14, 2014
1/14/2014. Labeled as Railhouse IPA. Amber color with a white head. Caramel aromas with citrus and earthy notes. Caramel flavors with hops, malt and pine. Not bad at all. hershiser2 (3476) - Charlottesville, Virginia, USA - NOV 18, 2013
Bomber from Kroger.
Pours medium amber with a small off-white head. Smells of grapefruit, apricot, pine, and light malt. First sip: honey, grapefruit, and leaves. Second sip: more of the same with the addition of a gluey malt. This is interesting. obguthr (6454) - Staunton, Virginia, USA - OCT 19, 2013
Firefest 2013, Forest VA, Draft: Rosehip, orange, lilly, and grapefruit nose. Clear amber, medium head. Strong lily flavor ringed with tangerine accents. Somewhat medicinal. Nice dry hopping, but a bit phenolic.
