Roanoke Railhouse Track 1 Amber Lager

RATINGS: 40   WEIGHTED AVG: 2.88/5   EST. CALORIES: 135   ABV: 4.5%
Roanoke Railhouse Track 1 is a true session beer that is very drinkable, yet robust in flavor. Track 1 has a ruby hazelnut color, medium light body, with moderate carbonation, and a roasty, nutty malt character balanced with the appropriate amount of bittering hops. Made from imported german malts and hops, and hand brewed from our own well water.

Poured from a 12 OZ bottle into a pint glass. The appearance is a medium dark brown color with a small white head. The aroma is big on malt with some hops and maybe some grain tossed in. The flavor is slightly odd with a nice mild hop bite, it grew on me with each sip. Overall, a pretty good beer.

on tap @ Roanoke Railhouse / Roanoke VA --- Clear dark amber color, ivory head cover, sprays of lace. Taste is fizzy caramel wheat and malt with light bittering in the finish. A basic brew, but pretty well done.

Aromas of caramel, somewhat fruity, slightly raisiny. Mostly clear, reddish-amber, with a somewhat lasting off-white head. Dry, decently balanced but a little lackluster. Light-medium bodied.

Bought this on accident thinking it was railhouse brewery NC instead of Roanoke railhouse Virginia. That is a mistake I will be sure not to make again. wasn’t that it wasn’t good just not at all what I was excpecting

Thanks Grant. Pretty nice lager here. Flavorful of fruits, nuts, breadiness, caramel, perhaps even some hops. Medium palate and easily drank.

Draft. Dark amber with thin off white head. Aroma is caramel malt. Taste adds some bready and chocolate notes. Crisp palate. Standard lager fair but not bad.

12/5/2013. 22 oz. bottle. Pours dark amber with a short white head. Aromas are mostly caramel with light malt. Flavors have a hint of citrus or lemon then more caramel, nuts and light hops. A bit bland.
