Frederic’s Great British Ginger Beer is distinctive and unique in that it has been created especially for beer drinkers who like traditionally crafted ales and those who love the taste of ginger.
Tasting note: A wonderful blend of traditional malty ale combined with natural ginger extract gives rise to a rich, ruby red, warming beer. This hoppy and refreshing beer comes to life with a fiery ginger kick and in harmony with fruity lemon notes.

Bottled. Amber colour, small head. Aroma is spices, fruits, wood, fruits and some mild sweet maltyness. Flavour is ginger, clove, cinnamon, malts and some slight wooden notes. Actually not overdoing it with the ginger, which makes it a rather refreshing one.

500ml bottle from Sainsburys Beer Hunt 2011. Its an interesting ginger beer. Chestnut colour. Moderate ginger aroma. Overly fizzy in the mouth. Then this btown maltiness kicks in with a very lasting building ginger bitterness. Not much to talk about upfront but the finish is pretty good I thought

imdownthepub (15130) - Banbury, Oxfordshire, ENGLAND - OCT 8, 2012
Bottled, 500ml from Morrisons, Banbury. Reddish amber with slight head. Sweet and gingery I suppose, lemonade notes with a spicy background. No real beery notes, more an alcopop.

maeib (8749) - Wootton, Northampton, Northamptonshire, ENGLAND - JUL 21, 2013
Bottled 13/07/13. A dark brown beer with an off-white head. This is way too sweet. A reasonable kick of ginger for sure but it’s dominated bgy a sugary effect. The aroma doesn’t promise such sweetness; it instead has pleasant ginger, but I really struggle with the flavours.

DruncanVeasey (8260) - Nr NUNEATON, Warwickshire, ENGLAND - JAN 16, 2013
500ml bottle from B&M. Beer-like appearance: ruby with a fine, well-retained cream foam. Lemonade/shandy aroma becoming peppery. Reasonable spike of ginger on the lips; ginger nut and Jamaican ginger cake sweetness; some afterburn and digestive notes. Approaching medium spicy. Not getting any hops whatsoever but come on, this is Robinson’s. Overly sugared with a splash too much shandy but enjoyably spans the gap between ginger beer and real beer.
