UPDATED: APR 7, 2017 I quite enjoyed this. Wonderful malty minerally flavor. Some boozy warmth. However it was a bit too drinkable. Serving: Bottle

Dark like guiness / coke, with a light brown head that tastes of molasses / liquorice toffee. No nasty after tastes. Similar to Adnam’s Broadside, but not as sickly. Has quite a kick to it at 8.1%, but comes in a small 330ml bottle

Príjemná silná chuť, z tohto piva cítite víno, nie nadarmo je to najlepšie pivo roku 2009

Bottle 330ml, from King&Godfree. Exceptional malt-driven flavours. Aromas of chocolate, caramel, alcohol, and butter. Taste is sweet and lightly bitter, with very long length. Palate is creamy, and full bodied. Dark brown, with a frothy head.

Pours a nice brown head with little retention. Dark amber-brown in color. The aroma is filled with caramel, chocolate, nuts, toffee and some coffee. Nice bitterness. Nice full body. This is a great ale which I will have again.

Botlle from Ambrosetti, Berlin, Germany. Very dark with orange tint. Aroma of black berries, chocolate malt and some alcohol. Slightly sour, wine-like, fruity, spicey, very tasty. Lively mouthfeel, full body. The best ale I’ve tasted so far.

A first rate strong ale. Extra tenth point for their incredible website (one of the best beer websites ever), the legend of their cat, and their association with Iron Maiden.

Possibly one of the finest beers I have ever sampled, This is not my usual style of beer but will definitely be buying more.

lovely toffee and chocolatey malt aroma, nice head retention for a bottle and nice deep brown appearance. tastes soft creamy and nutty and very underatted, nice thick smooth beer.
