Clear dark amber brown colour with a creamy white head. Taste of chocolate in cocoa. Very drinkable with sweet in lightly bitter aftertaste. natesSI (4) - SLOVENIA - AUG 10, 2016 does not count
Nice aromatic beer with a full roasty taste and hints of dark chocolate yet somewhat fuity A bitter sweet aftertaste, in my case i could sense a plum aroma. Foam was thick and stayed in the glass long after drinking, although there wasn’t much of it. Color was a nice mahogany as stated on their site. I enjoyed it more than the "commercialy popular" dark ales. LazyPyro (1471) - Cheltenham, Gloucestershire, ENGLAND - AUG 7, 2016
330ml bottle. Clear dark amber brown colour with a creamy smooth off-white head, good retention. Aroma: light roasted malt, chocolate, caramel. Taste: chocolate, malt, liquorice, vanilla, molasses. Quite sweet overall with a slight bitterness in the finish, slight taste of alcohol too. Soft carbonation, smooth oily mouthfeel. Pretty nice brew. Chocolate Tom is an easygoing dessert beer for a weeknight. At 6%, this Old Tom variant is lighter than many Old Ales currently available. Brown pour with a fluffy head. Milky, creamy chocolate and molasses aromas. Flavor is consistent with the smell: chocolate, vanilla, and molasses. A medium-bodied beer that’s big on sweet, light on heat. zacgillbanks (5423) - Tyne & Wear, ENGLAND - JUL 23, 2016
Bottles from York Beer & Wine and B&M, Team Valley, Gateshead. Amber-brown in colour with milk chocolate and red fruity flavours followed by caramel, vanilla and more sweet chocolate on the finish. Very good.

A- Molasses, milk chocolate, subtle bourbon.
A- Brown color, murky liquid, tan head.
T- Molasses, chocolate, subtle sweetness, mild alcohol.
P- Medium body, average texture, average carbonation, balanced finish.
O- At first I thought I bought the regular Old Tom and was a bit disappointed when I found out it was the Chocolate version. As soon as I got a smell, the disappointment went away. This smelled like a Russell Stovers chocolate covered molasses bite and the taste is about the same. The bottle seemed bigger than it was too. Overall, I was surprisingly pleased with this one. Kicsit sok a szénsav. Utóíze egy butított ESB-re hasonlít, némi savanyúval. Nem igazán jött be, nem tudom miért.

Aroma: cocoa, artificial chocolate.
Appearance: clear deep brown color and beige head.
Taste: alcohol, cocoa, roasted notes, quite dry, empty taste.
Palate: medium body and medium carbonation, cocoa.
Overall: Really mediocre stuff. nephirem (599) - CROATIA - JUN 1, 2016
Clear, dark ruby pour with small and short lasting, slightly off-white head. Smell is malty with a hint of chocolate.
Medium body with oily texture and soft carbonation. Mostly bitter taste with subtle sweet notes to it. Aroma of chocolate, roasted malts, coffe grains, toffee and nuts. Nicely balanced, maybe a bit too watery, needs more punch to it.
Overall, nice and enjoyable. halfonit (1392) - Fall River, Massachusetts, USA - MAY 14, 2016
Pours a hazy brown/amber color. Aroma is very sweet. Apple peels, malts, and a little chocolate are there. Sweeter, oil slick and slight carbonation palate. Flavor is of malts, vanilla, oak, and cocoa. Leaves a sweeter, slightly bitter malt finish.
