Originally labelled as Chocolate Tom. Label was changed to read Old Tom With Chocolate circa 2011.
Old Tom with chocolate is an indulgent rich combination of Robinsons award winning Old Tom and the finest cocoa. It is a superior full bodied strong ale filled with the flavour of ripe malt and velvety smooth chocolate teased together with an inspired touch of Madagascan bourbon vanilla.
Chocolate Tom is a deliciously indulgent addition to the Old Tom range, with a recipe developed by Robinsons and the renowned chocolatier Simon Dunn.
With a distinctive natural milky sweet chocolate palate balanced by underlying hop and roasted malt characters, Chocolate Tom is a superior, rich and warming speciality beer with a dark mahogany colour.

From hipercor, last unit. In duvel glass. after dinner. Amazing aroma, with soft smell and taste to chocolate of the finest kind. Alcohol isnt noticeable. Even with the chocolate is sweetnrss and bitterness are very well balanced, making it very comfortable to drink. A pity that the chocolatier simon dun had to close its business as Ive read in google. Probably wont be able to tase another of this exquisite beverage again

Bottle from King&Godfree. Great stout. Aromas of chocolate, hints of cereal. Taste is sweet, with light bitterness, and long length. Palate is velvety, and medium bodied. Brown, with a frothy head.

Usually Im apathetic to chocolate and other sweets, and I tried this one just because of the sales. But hell, its good! Its not sweet, its not oversatrated with the chocolate flavour, thought the aroma is obvious and clear. You cant drink much of it, but you can have at least once, when you have some.

Tasted 2010-03-29. Bottle. Pours clear, dark, amber with off-white head. Cocoa dominates the aroma. It reminds me of Youngs double chocolate stout, but the comparison stops at the aroma, for the taste shows, that this is primarily an old ale. Mildly acidic, slightly malty. Very balanced and very subtle in all aspects. Lotsa ppl find it artificial, but I like it - very much indeed. The cocoa goes very well with the old ale characteristics IMO.

O aroma desta cerveja muito bom por causa do chocolate. A espuma razoavelmente persistente. O sabor um pouco amargo e levemente doce.

Medium brown head. Clear mahogany colour. Wonderful chocolate aroma with hints of vanilla. The taste is a bit of a disappointment: Sour-bitter. The great cocoa chocolate palate unfolds slowly, yet intensely. Very nice.

Served in a tulip from a 330ml bottle. Pours dark brown clear amber with a medium beige head. Aroma is vinous and slightly sour, prunes, chocolate and hint of molasses. Taste is caramel, grass and chocolate notes. Thin to medium body with lively carbonation. Pleasant and refreshing, very quaffable without being overwhelming on the sweet side. Lovely!
