Trooper is a premium British beer inspired by Iron Maiden and handcrafted at Robinsons brewery. Being a real ale enthusiast, vocalist Bruce Dickinson has developed a beer which has true depth of character. Malt flavours and citric notes from a unique blend of Bobec, Goldings and Cascade hops dominate this deep golden ale with a subtle hint of lemon.

Bottle. Clear light amber pour with moderate off-white head. Average retention. The nose is biscuit, caramel, floral and spicy hops. Light to medium body. Oily texture. Soft carbonation. Bittersweet taste. The balance trends towards the sweet side. Lots of biscuit maltiness. Light floral bitterness. Short finish. OK.

Typowe angielskie ale, dość nudne. W aromacie jakby pieczona skórka chleba, rodzynki.

Nic specjalnego...

11-06-2017; bottle; at home (bought at www.drankgigant.nl, The Netherlands). The looks of the beer are nice. It looks like you can expect from this type of beer. The beer has a nice amber colour. The beer is crystal clear. A lot of tiny bubbles can be seen rising towards the top. On top of the beer a nice soft layer of slightly off-white foam is formed. Foam retention is good. The foam seems quite creamy. Nice. The smell of the beer is good. The smell starts of with a lovely malt aroma. There are rather sweet malt aromas, with some touches of caramel and syrup. I also smell a nice fruity sweetness. Besides the sweet malts I also smell some nice hops. The hops contain some nice fruity aromas, like citrus, such as lemon, but also some nice slightly floral aromas. Not bad. The taste is pretty much the same. It also starts of with the nice rather sweet malt flavour, giving also flavours of caramel and syrup. I also taste some sweeter fruits, slightly reminding me of strawberry. I like this. The bitter hops bring good balance to the beer, especially with the citric touch of citrus fruits. The palate of the beer is fine. Medium body, smooth and a rather low carbonation. The finish of the beer is nice. The sweeter malts and the fruity aspects of the hops stay around for a nice and long time. I like this beer. Not bad. I could drink a lot more of this.

This is Robinsons best selling beer but if it didn’t have the iron maiden endorsement it would be just another beer. The nose is sweet, molasses or caramel. The taste is brown sugar to me, nothing else. There is an aftertaste to it but not really explainable, just beer taste. Okay but nothing worth shouting about.

Bottle from Plonk (Sep 2016). Slightly hazy light amber, creamy off-white head, malty, caramel, citrus, fruity, quite bitter, residual sweetness, light body. Nice.

Botella. Golden clear colour, small bubbly white head. Sweet like toasty malty aroma with fruity hops. Flavour is soft, sweet, fruity hoppy and toasty malty with caramel. Mild bitterness, soft. Pleasant.

Bitter i smagen, ikke meget aroma. Pæn flaske. På trods af mangel på aroma, så er den okay. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

0,33 litre Bottle from Gulating Hamar, at home. Dark Golden, with little head! Too bitter, don’t really like IT!
