Trooper is a premium British beer inspired by Iron Maiden and handcrafted at Robinsons brewery. Being a real ale enthusiast, vocalist Bruce Dickinson has developed a beer which has true depth of character. Malt flavours and citric notes from a unique blend of Bobec, Goldings and Cascade hops dominate this deep golden ale with a subtle hint of lemon.

Wanted to try this beer as I wanted to see what Bruce Dickinson has come up with. A good, dark beer with noticeable fruity flavor hints

500ml bottle. Pours light copper with a small off white head. Light carbonation. Nose is biscuit, toffee, cinnamon cake, spicy dark fruit and some orange peel. Buttery mouth feel. Taste is biscuit, toffee, spice, cake and orange peel. Finishes lightly bitter and slight citrus tang. Ok beer, but won't be rushing to buy this again.

Bottle. 4.7%. Best before 07.18. Pours a clear golden, with an off-white head. Good lacing. Hoppy aroma, with light notes of fruit, citrus, berries, hay. Light metallic and cardboard overtones. Malt in the background, increasing a bit as it warms. Further warming brings out an overripe fruit/cooked vegetables note. Flavour is (citrusy) hops, fruit, cereals. Faint rubber note. Light malt/caramel note as it warms. Bitter finish, a bit dry, with a lingering overripe fruit/cooked vegetables note. Overall okay, if nothing special. But somewhat unbalanced, and the overripe fruit/cooked vegetable notes I could do without. 15.09.17.

Deep copper with nice sized off-white head. Sweet malt nose with a touch of roast. Flavor much the same, little sweet towards the finish. Clean and easy.

Bottle @home (rating backlog). Pours amber, white head. Nose is toffee, caramel, sweet, slightly burnt sugar. Taste is sweet, fruity, not good, way too sweet.

very uneventful ale - i fail to pick up on the advertised citrus notes, but the malt is present, if not unobtrusive. not bad, but not good either. all brand name, just like the cask version.

Dark amber beer with nice frothy white head. Aroma is hops, malty and sweet caramel. Taste is sweet caramel with hoppy floral bitterness. Light body. Overall refreshing beer, a bit watery though.

Kolor miedziany, lekko wchodzący w herbaciany, klarowny.

Awesome to finally find a bottle! Pours a nice frothy white cap but doesn’t stay very long. Leaves some pretty thick dirty lacing though. Has a clear pale amber appearance. Aromas of floral hops and light malts, hints of caramel. Flavours are mainly roasted malts and floral hops. Somewhat grassy, light grains, and spices. Fairly smooth mouthfeel, light creaminess. Average retention. Not too bad and much better than expected, thinking this may well be another experiment with a familiar name tagged on (a la AC/DC). This one is very good indeed.

Erzengel (9091) - Wuppertal, GERMANY - JUL 23, 2017
Fresh and somehow floral beginning. The body is slightly bittered with a nice ale-characteristic. Dry roasted malt, sessionable body with hints of Grapefruit and fresh greens. Malty dry and nice bittered aftertaste.

Not bad but not great. Dark, hazy pour, Thin tan head. Aroma is sweet, malty. Flavor is a bit dark, malts, not much hops. Slightly toasted.
