Very malty aroma and flavor but notes of diacetyl. The bottle I have is from 2009 and it hasn’t aged well. Wishing I had another one because I was really impressed with this beer when I shared one with the owner back in 2010. Very cool guy!

Bottle from Utobeer. Dark brown with a tan head. Refreshing exotic fruits hoppiness blending with a hint of roasted malts aroma. Passion fruit and smokey malts flavours- good dryness. Seriously good stuff from a (beery) black continent. Beersiveknown (5284) - NORTHERN IRELAND - SEP 17, 2011
Clear dark brown with red fruit on the nose. Rich Fruity malt and gentle bitterness with long malt finish. berkshirejohn (6501) - Bracknell, Berkshire, ENGLAND - FEB 9, 2010
340ml bottle from Bacchanalia, Cambridge. Poured hazy reddish amber with a thin cream head, heavy sediment and light carbonation; sharp resinous hop aroma; thin, watery body with a strongly hoppy flavour and a soapy texture - very much in the American style; the finish is fruity and spicy and dry from the hops. hughie (3996) - Bedford, Bedfordshire, ENGLAND - JAN 4, 2010
Bottle courtesy of Chris and Judy and shared with Alfie. Dark brown with an off white head. Yes, I should have noticed the instruction on the label to ’pour to retain yeast in bottle’. The result was a murky, muddy appearance, though it had looked fine in vitro. Strong aroma slowly developed of treacly malt with spicy hops. A little sweet maltiness in the taste was soon replaced by a strawy, nettly hoppiness with a hint of cigarette ash. It went particularly well with a sweet iced bombe for dessert at lunch on New Year’s Day.

Pours a hazy red, deep amber. Light copper head. Aroma of sweet malt, light hops, grapefruit. Taste of grapefruit bitterness and light maltiness. Very drinkable. Easily the best beer I’ve tasted in South Africa and I recommend it if you’re here. RichardGretton (4770) - Leicestershire, ENGLAND - OCT 1, 2010
Bottle. Dark reddish brown beer with a strong head. The aroma is watery and lightly malty, and the flavour is roasted and malty with a watery bitter finish. Overall a fairly average roasted and bitter beer. anders37 (26625) - Malmö, SWEDEN - OCT 4, 2010
Bottle. Pours a reddish brown color with a small longlasting off-white head. Has a roasted malty weak hoppy aroma with some hints of caramel. Roasted malty bitter caramel flavor with hoppy hints. Has a roasted malty bitter hoppy caramel finish with a long bitter aftertaste. DanielBrown (4502) - Birmingham (via Leicester), West Midlands, ENGLAND - MAR 13, 2011
Bottle from Drinks World, Harborne. Dark treacle colour. Delicious aroma of hops and pepper. Biscuit, brown sugar, some berry on a US style hop background. Not a proper IPA hop flavour, but hints of it. Overall, the taste doesn’t match the aroma, but it’s pretty tasty. jolo (1003) - Uppsala, Sweden, SOUTH AFRICA - JUN 21, 2011
Bottle 550ml. A red amber colour with a tanned medium high head. Aroma of caramel, bread and herbs. The taste is medium bitter with a long lasting finish. A medium body and lightly carbonated.
