COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This beer, the oldest of the three Rochefort Trappist beers, has the reddish colour of autumn leaves, a soft body and an earthy, herbal palate (a hint of Darjeeling tea), which develops into a deep fruitiness.

Bottle @Strawberry Thief, Bristol. Huge head, dark golden colour, nice lacing, lightly cloudy. Aroma: fruits, berries, raisins, roasted malts. Lightly bitter with lightly sweet aftertaste. Full body, lively, long finish. Very good.

JtanK (604) - Kraków, POLAND - NOV 13, 2017
Mild, slightly sweet aroma of dried fruit and malt. Pours dark amber/ruby with a large head. In taste not entirely sweet, but not dry either, at first malty with caramel, followed by breadinesss & raisins and then some spiciness, ends with mild earthy bitterness. Mid-full body, fairly high carbonation. Tasty, but quite reserved, nothing flashy.

ciocanelu (2957) - Timisoara, ROMANIA - OCT 28, 2017
Hazy dark amber color with off-white head. Aroma has fruity yeast esters, dark toasted malts and some brown sugar. Quite classic belgian ale nose. Taste starts balanced with some tosated malt character, follows with slightly acrid yeast notes and finishes with a light earthy bitterness. Medium body and carbonation. Decent, classic, nothing special though.

UPDATED: OCT 22, 2017 It's got a dryness that gives it some flavors reminiscent of a Darjeeling tea. Very good

rodzynki, sliwki, ciastka- wysokie wysycenie, klasyka belgijskiego gatunku. Wylezakowane, alkohol praktycznie niewyczuwalny.

UPDATED: OCT 9, 2017 Bottle. Bown caramel colour and somewhat hazy. Thick but diminishing beige head. Aroma of bread, crystal malt and subtle brandy. Full body and soft carbonation. Taste of burned sugar, caramel and crystal malt. Also slightly bitter and sour. Dry and sweet in the aftertaste.

LCI. Uit de fles geschonken. Deze stond nog open: mooie dubbel, niet te zwaar maar wel de mooie smaak van gedroogd fruit en caramel heerlijke dubbel!
