Pours a couldy/hazy amber-brown, huge amounts of tannish-yellow foam. Aroma is bready and yeasty, maybe some bananas. Taste is caramel and malty, rather yeasty, but a bit mild.

Pours clear, bubbly cherrywood with a thick, though not long-lasting, eggshell head. Aroma yields sweet apple, malty, earthy and subtle herbal tones. Flavor bursts with earthy, sweet apple, lightly toasted malt and herbal notes - is that a hint of tea? I love tea! - for a distinctive and very tasty Belgian. Mouthfeel presents firm, smooth body and lively fizz. Those Trappists live well - and drink well.

Zaraz tam strong. Belg z ludzką twarzą. "Nuty klasztorne" nie przeginają piwa w stronę niszy, w której odnajdują się tylko fundamentaliści. Dobre plus.

$6.49 bottle, Rio Hill Wine. Pours hazy amber brown with a large beige head. Aroma is black tea, brown leaves, dried fruit, yeast, gum. Flavor is bubblegum, dried fruit, yeast, black tea. Lots of carbonation - almost wish it was a little softer, but this is good nonetheless.

DonGregorio (647) - POLAND - FEB 11, 2018
Bottle. Cloudy copper colour, quite large, quickly disappearing off-white head. Aroma of dried fruits, cherries, plums, brown sugar, yeast, light herbs, raisins. Taste is medium- sweet and light+ bitter, of dried fruits, cherries, raisins, plums, brown sugar, light caramel, apples, herbs, with notes of spices in the finish. Medium body, average to lively carbonation. Good, tasty, quite drinkable stuff.

Bottle. Hazy dark amber, offwhite head. Melanoidin and raisin nose. Medium body, light foamy, dry minerals on the palate. Roast, wood, raisins, caramel/melanoidin, light strawberry, plums towards the finish, herbal hops. Not the biggest fan of the caramel notes, but the rest is complex and pleasant.

LazyPyro (1938) - Gloucestershire, ENGLAND - FEB 10, 2018
330ml bottle bought Oct 2016. Deep amber coloured with a fizzy off-white head, slowly dissipating. Aroma of sweet sugary fruity malt, raisin, fig. Taste of sweet malts, dried fruits, caramel, raisin, fig, brown sugar, very nice rich flavours. Medium bodied, soft carbonation. Excellent.
