COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
The lower gravity cousin to Rochefort 10. Nicknamed "Spéciale" (’The Special’), this beer is the most recent production. The Rochefort 8 has a more tawny colour and a more pronounced aroma, with an even richer fruitiness (a slight undertone of fig?) and a little more spiced dryness, like that of a cake, which gives a balanced finish to the final notes.

Negra, con espuma duradera y densa. Notas de chocolate y puede que plátano. Final complejo, muy amargo. Textura brutal y olor complejo.

Sweet fruitcake with some spice. Not massively into it. Lovely warmth and less intense then it's stronger brother but i prefer the younger fresher 6. Slight taste of beans early in the mix takes make the drink less pleasent for me then it should. Don't get me wrong though this is still an excellent complex strong warming beer.

incredible beer! pours easier than other trappist ales hahaha. hazelnut, vanilla, amber malt rush over the palette on a smooth trajectory through to a pleasant malty aftertaste. very balanced, soothing, very unique brown strong ale that i'd recommend to just about anyone.

Piwo leżakowało w piwnicy z rok czy półtora. Piana szybko znika do zera. W aromacie głównie rodzynki, twardy karmel, suszone owoce.

33 cl bottle from Tosano. Deep red/mahogany color, yellowish-white head, bubbly, sadly disappearing, a bit sparkling. Flaky sediments on the bottle, almost clear which become cloudy when those gets in. Some berries on the nose. Aroma is prominently sugary upfront, syrup, burned caramel, berries/cranberries, black grapes, ripe fruit. Fuel notes explodes already, quite burning. Then a solid cakey malts backing follows, with mild leafy hops. Pronounced hearthy yeast notes, with old furniture, wine and wood. Taste is initially sugary, cleaned by smooth bitternes and ends up mild sour. Body isn’t thick as i would have expected, fairly thin texture, sustained carbonation, dry alcoholi finish. A slow sipper, complex, strong, as it warms up becomes really enjoyable, perfumed, aromatic.
