COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
The combination of four different malts, along with a low hop level creates a deep dark beer featuring rich, sweet roasted flavors. The addition of lactose (milk sugar) adds complexity, body, and a residual sweetness lending a smooth creamy texture to this full-flavored brew. Once a Seasonal offering in the pub, now prominently featured due to popular demand.

On tap at Hopcat. Tastes lighter than it appears. Tastes like a milk stout through and through. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

marcus (10354) - Sacramento, California, USA - AUG 14, 2015
On tap at The Buck. Pours dark brown with a nice tan head and a chocolate milk aroma. There is a rich chocolate flavor that starts sweet then gets more bitter an carbonated.

Light can’t penetrate this almost black pour, nice brown head fades fast. Aroma of chocolate, a hint of coffee. This tastes of cocoa and a coffee. Thick, creamy Southfield and a very smooth finish. Low ABV makes this very drinkable. This was a souvenir from a Michigan weekend road trip. Shoulda’ bought some more, really enjoyed this one!

Tap...nice creamy cocoa flavor with a touch of sweetness. Easy drinking and one of the better RM offerings.

Very dark. Not a huge aroma, but nice chocolate and roasty, bit of coffee. Mellow finish, almost thin. Slight tartness from lactose, mayne.

Draught @ HopCat, Ann Arbor, MI
Pours black with a tan head. Aroma has notes of roasted malt, chocolate, coffee, caramel, cocoa and lactose. Taste is medium sweet and light bitter with a long milk chocolate, cocoa, coffee and hint of licorice. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft.

On tap at Hop Cat, Ann Arbor. Just south of black, with a small dense beige head. The aroma is roasted, with coffee, some vanilla and molasses. A bit plain I think, and a tad weak. It’s quite sweet on the palate, full bodied and with a nice carbonation. Dry, roasted malts, coffee, dark chocolate and some vanilla and molasses in the flavor. Lasting finish. Nice, yes it is, but it lacks character I think. 150615

From a can the look of this borders on a 5, nicely done without a widget. Fairly friendly gentle stout aroma. Head fades. Feel is hollow at times. Smooth going and easy, could have less of an apparent alky personality. Roasty stout personality. Hope nobody thinks this is going to taste anything like a milkshake, heheh.

The taste is a chocolaty caramel. Real easy beer to swallow and settles well in the stomach. I don’t know where the "Milkshake" comes from because it taste nothing like a milkshake. The name is not important because this is a top notch stout.
