COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
The combination of four different malts, along with a low hop level creates a deep dark beer featuring rich, sweet roasted flavors. The addition of lactose (milk sugar) adds complexity, body, and a residual sweetness lending a smooth creamy texture to this full-flavored brew. Once a Seasonal offering in the pub, now prominently featured due to popular demand.

Pours jet black with a tan head. This is a very good stout. Nose is light coffee, and chocolate. Chocolate and malt sweetness up front with a tasty bitter coffee finish. Easy drinking with a low ABV. It’s a little thinner than an oatmeal or breakfast stout (which is desirable depending on your tastes of the day) and is superior to other milk lactose (cream) stouts that I’ve had (I’ve enjoyed quite a few). Overall, a great stout with a chocolaty sweet taste that is easy to drink and tastes great. An underrated stout IMO.

Can from drakes party center. Pours black with a shitload of khaki lacing. Coates the glass with it too. I get a bit of the cocoa on the nose. There’s some lactose as well. I don’t know if it quite suggests a milkshake but it is a solid milk stout.

can. pours clear very dark brown with a nice beige head demonstrating its retention skills, some lacing too. sweet roasted maltiness, plain molasses, acrid berries, loads of ashes - cigarette butts, garbage, lots of roasted acidity - overly torrefied grains, pepper, minerals. low carbonation, light to medium body - oily and sticky, sweet and ashy finish. very weak sweet stout. DP.

On tap at Kalamazoo Beer Exchange. Pours a near black with a half finger, tan head. Aroma has big roasted notes mixed with dark chocolate, and a hint of creamy coffee. Taste is bitter but balanced. Creamy with roasted malts and a bit of dark chocolate. Medium-full body with a medium carbonation. Slightly watery but pretty clean in the mouth with a semi dry finish. Overall an east drinking, milky stout with a smooth roast.

On draft at Alexandria’s in Findlay. Pours a stout brown with an off-tan head. Nose is some sweet chocolate, some vanilla, an caramel with hints of lactose. Flavor starts off with sweet chocolate then moves to vanilla then to some lactose and maybe some dark chocolate. Light in body and lingering sweetness on the finish.

Aroma is mix of bread and coffee. Fairly light body with not much carbonation. Light sweetness followed by a lingering sourness reminiscent of buttermilk, bread, and dark chocolate. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Beer is much better than concept! Ugh to a milk shake rather than a beer! However, this was medium body, with a fine roasted malt and bitter chocolate flavor.

Can. This is a rich thick stout with a sweetish start and a tart burnt coffee/darl chocolate finish.

Can in a pint glass. Pours black with a massive tan head. Aroma is mix of bread and coffee. Fairly light body with not much carbonation. Light sweetness followed by a lingering sourness reminiscent of dark chocolate. Not a bad stout but I was a little disappointed.
