The combination of four different malts, along with a low hop level creates a deep dark beer featuring rich, sweet roasted flavors. The addition of lactose (milk sugar) adds complexity, body, and a residual sweetness lending a smooth creamy texture to this full-flavored brew. Once a Seasonal offering in the pub, now prominently featured due to popular demand.

This beer pours from the can a dark smooth black. Almost looks thin. A foamy vanilla mocha colored head tops it off. A sugary toasted almond aroma. Flavors really revolve around the sugary sweetness from the milky vanilla ice cream notes mixed in with chocolate syrup. Very light overall. With its lack in overall flavors it makes up in other points. The milk chocolate flavors really leave a nice chewy layer on the mouth feel. Also surprisingly enough it feels somewhat thick. Which really pulls anything together that this had going for it. In the end a light stout that you can really drink quick... if thats what youre into.

Pours black with tan head the dissipates quickly. A roasted chocolate aroma. Tastes of chocolate and goes down very smooth. Decent beer.

Very good milk stout. Good balance and robustness of dark/roasted malt, cocoa nib and lactose flavors, and very smooth to drink.

Great off white head. Heavy chocolate and caramel on the nose. A little bitter, followed by chocolate and sweetness. Lingering a little in mouth feel, but makes up for it in great taste. Let it warm up a bit before enjoying.

Pint can. Thick, creamy stout with tall tan head. Smooth, rich, mild roasted malts and chocolate. A little sweet but not too much.

On draft at Dan's. The pour is a murky brown, with a very thin complexion. There is a light film of head and nothing special. The aroma has a light coffee note and a touch of chocolate. You can smell the roasted malt and a small bitterness on the nose. The taste is pretty thin. There is roast and a bit of coffee. The cream and sweetness is there lightly not what I'd expect on a milkshake stout namesake. Not awful, But I can't say I'd get another one ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
