COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
The combination of four different malts, along with a low hop level creates a deep dark beer featuring rich, sweet roasted flavors. The addition of lactose (milk sugar) adds complexity, body, and a residual sweetness lending a smooth creamy texture to this full-flavored brew. Once a Seasonal offering in the pub, now prominently featured due to popular demand.

16 oz can: Aroma is malt forward coffee, chocolate, and a bit of roasted nuttiness. Appearance is a opaque black with a thick tan head that linger for quite a while. Taste is very creamy and milky like a chocolate milkshake, sweet, and a malt roastiness on the backend. Palate is milk and sweet on the tongue and an aftertaste of light roasted malt. Overall, Really drinkable and really nicely drinkable. Cheers!

At Goodfellow’s on Mackinac Island. Pours black with a tan head and aroma of roasted malt and creamy cocoa. Taste is sweet and creamy, of cocoa, roasted malt, and milk chocolate with a sweet, creamy finish. Solid, enjoyable stout

Bottle at Goodfellow’s, Mackinaw Island, Michigan, poured a deep black , no head. Nose is chocolate , malt and coffee. Taste is chocolate, with hints of vanilla, and sweetened nicely. Finish is sweet as well, and ends on the same tasting notes. Quaff Score 8 / 10

Pint can. Thick, creamy stout with tall tan head. Smooth, rich, mild roasted malts and chocolate. A little sweet but not too much.

From the can so a little tinny. Dark black with tan head that disappears quickly. Chocolate and coffee. Smooth but not as smooth as some Ive had lately.

Nice head but died off quickly. Very black. Thin to pour. Not much aroma. Sweet and strong.

Can. Pours deep dark brown with some brown head that fades to a ring in the glass. Nose is creamy chocolates, toasted malts, caramels, more toasty and biscuity malts. Flavor is toasted malts, sweet sticky lactose and some chocolates. Pretty solid beer.

Can from drakes party center. Pours black with a shitload of khaki lacing. Coates the glass with it too. I get a bit of the cocoa on the nose. There’s some lactose as well. I don’t know if it quite suggests a milkshake but it is a solid milk stout.

Tap...nice creamy cocoa flavor with a touch of sweetness. Easy drinking and one of the better RM offerings.

Sampled from a 16 oz can this beer poured a black color with an enormous creamy-soapy brown head that lingered and left a bit of lacing. The aroma was sweetish and toasty with notes of vanilla, marshmallow and chocolate. The flavor was toasty and mildly bitter with chocolate, vanilla and a lactic note. Long toasty chocolate and almost marshmallow finish. Medium bodied and smooth. Solid.
