12oz. Bottle: Aroma of toasted malts, caramel, and bitter hops. Poured red with hints of deep orange, deep amber, and ruby in color, with a medium-sized, dense, tan head that diminished quickly but left a thin film. Clear. Lightly sparkling. Full of tiny particles. Lightly sweet flavor. Tastes of malts, toasting, and resinous hops. Medium body. Thin, watery, then chalky texture. Average carbonation. Malty, chalky, thin finish. Not very tasty. Very thin. fishonmyplane (505) - Newington, Connecticut, USA - OCT 13, 2008
The "clean" description is accurate, and I agree 100% with the reviewer who would like to have this with pizza or nachos. This isn’t a top-shelf beer, but it’s a good lawnmower beer with just enough flavor to keep it interesting. Not bad! probstblueribbon (4088) - Nepean, Ontario, CANADA - AUG 21, 2008

App.: Fairly deep copper, clear with a moderate tan head.
Aroma: Slightly funky and skunky nutty, tangy malts, some light berry fruitiness, a touch of medium-roasted coffee and a little brown sugar, somewhat earthy.
Palate: Medium-ish body, fairly soft carbonation.
Flav.: Sorta like the nose: earthy, musty, some restrained malts, a little nuttiness and some light berry fruits; fairly dry with a little bitterness and a touch of musty hops to finish.
From a 12 fl. oz. bottle with a date of March 28. I think that was the date it was brewed and I expect it was 2008. Pours a ruby red-amber tone with a beige head. Aroma of sweet malts and caramel or maybe honey. Medium mouthfeel. The taste is hoppier than the aroma. Also some malts. Overall a pretty decent brew. Pours a dark brown, dense body wih a thin white head--solid for an amber... a nice balance of hops and malts, smooth and pleasant... slightly effervescent, quite drinkable--medium-bodied to the mouthfeel... nice malty sweetness with a sense of herbal fruitiness and a bit of caramel in the finish... a solid amber, versatile and consistent... I’d revisit this as a companion to nachos or pizza... can’t be too critical of this type tonight, although I see other reviewers have been more than that...

bottle poured a red amber color with a thin off white head and a steady rush of carbonation. aroma has some caramel, dry hops, and malt. mouth feel is medium light with heavy carbonation. flavor has caramel malts with light dry hops and a touch of citrus and sweetness. thin but the flavor itself is pretty good overall. goes down easy, could see a few consumed on a hot day. sliffy (2040) - Columbus, Ohio, USA - MAY 7, 2008
Bottle: Pours a reddish copper color with an off white head. Aroma, caramel, light citrus, toffee. Flavor, caramel, malty, toffee, bready, light fruits. Rogueone (506) - I F&ckin’ hate those guys from, Ohio, USA - MAY 7, 2008
Bottle courtesy of Ty5592: Pours a brown-red with small white bubbly head. Aroma of toasted caramel malt, but very faint. Tastes strongly of malted straw and water; I kept sipping to try to find the hop bitterness but there wasn’t any. Disappointing finish. dmac (6451) - Toms River, New Jersey, USA - APR 8, 2008
12 oz bottle from a variety 12 pack purchased at Spirits RB. Pours a deep clear red brown with a small bubbly off white head. Malt heavy aroma, caramel, slight chocolate, brown bread, slight touch of cinnamon. This one feels thin on the begining of the sip but as you swallow seems a little more average bodied on the back of your throat, average carbonation Flavor has a slight touch of sourness followed by caramel, toffee, malts and toast. I was expecting a total dud a la Star Wars episode I but got something actually palatable a la Star Wars episode III. jason (1836) - Easton, Pennsylvania, USA - MAR 20, 2008
Draft at Porters Pub. Nice deep red body with thin head. Aroma is caramel, malt. Flavor is caramel, toasted malt and light hops. Not bad at all and very drinkable.
