We brewed this one because we just cant get enough of those hops. IPAs seem to be a great choice any time of the year. They have a great malt flavor and hop profile, just what a beer connoisseur is looking for. We decided to give this one a bit more hops. Try this with a strong cheese like a very sharp cheddar, cloth bound, aged if you can find one.

Pours a clear orange, med white head. Aroma is earthy hop, caramel, citrus, pine, bready malt, mineral. Flavor is caramel, med sweet, lasting bitter pine. Sort of musty, earthy.

Dark tan pour with a modest head. The label is leafy and attractive. An excellent aroma cheers the nostrils - full and sweet, with flowers and pine. The taste is mostly dry, with a grapefruit peel taste standing out the most. Very good.

Bottle. Poured a orange amber with a small off white creamy head. Aroma of caramel, fruit, earth, citrus and some sweetness. A pretty well balanced and tasty version of the style. Good caramel base with some grapefruit, earth, other citrus and sugar. Alcohol is pretty well hidden. Better than the other IPAs of last night.

This one is for strong bitterness lovers.

Hoppy aroma with citrus, pine, and maybe a little strawberry. Flavor starts very sweet for an IPA, then finishes with some fruity bitterness. Not as complex as a lot of the double IPAs out there, but still a fine beer.

This one poured a darkish orange with just a bit of golden hue. A moderate head of tan foam that fell slowly and left lace. Nose is faded a bit but still lovely. Citrus and floral hops. Softly bready malt with a touch of brown sugar on it. A ripe orange and some earthy grapefruit peel. Light pine on the nose. Taste follows the nose. The citrus is bountiful and juicy. The grapefruit comes forward as the beer warms and so does the malt. Medium - light mouthfeel which tells me that if this beer has faded off it was once near west coast IPA style of malt. Light earthy pine some woodiness and this drinks very well. The bitter is perfectly acceptable to the fruitiness in the beer. It does not exceed the other flavors but it does last a bit into the aftertaste and pleasantly I might add. A soft bit of caramel is creeping onto the palate as it warms making it drink a bit heavier as it does warm. Its good. With a freshness date on the bottle, it may have been very good but because there isnt one, I rated what was in my glass.

Appearance: Hazy amber to brown leaning body with a foamy dense light tan head.
Aroma: Slightly orange and grapefruit with biscuit, caramel and general malt sweetness. It smells like an American Barleywine thats sat too long.
Taste: A little bit better on the taste, still malty and barleywine esque. Biscuit goes through with hints of caramel and orange/grapefruit. Bitterness is mild.
Palate: Full-bodied, mildly carbonated.
Overall: Not bad or offensive, but certainly nothing I would recommend to a customer. Its a generic imperial IPA that borders on either being too old or too malty. Not bad, but not good.

Cloudy copper color with white head. Sweet citrus pineapple aroma with some pine. Sweet malt start with citrus and tropical fruit flavors. Some grassy notes. Finish is grapefruit and resiny pine. Really nice brew.
