We brewed this one because we just can’t get enough of those hops. IPA’s seem to be a great choice any time of the year. They have a great malt flavor and hop profile, just what a beer connoisseur is looking for. We decided to give this one a bit more hops. Try this with a strong cheese like a very sharp cheddar, cloth bound, aged if you can find one.

This brewery has been picking it up a notch, as noticed again by this creation. High quality very hoppy 1.5X ipa. Hops are in your face, right there and clearly 80 ibu but yet so drinkable if you are a hop fan. Bitterness is simple orange citrus, perhaps a little grapefruit, and well malted.Simple and effective.Great drinkability.

Pours a cloudy orange copper color with an off-white head. Aroma of citrus, pine, and hops. Citrus flavor up front with caramel, with a slight hop bite at the end. Really well-balanced beer. Would definitely have again.

Location: 22 oz bottle from Buy Rite, 11/22/11

Aroma: The nose has a big citrus/orange component, along with some pine, resin, and caramel notes
Appearance: This one pours a copper-orange color with a beige head and some fairly heavy lacing
Flavor: The taste is medium-heavy sweet, its fairly citrusy, and has a nice pine/resin hop bitterness bite
Palate: This is medium-full bodied, with a sticky and creamy feel, average carbonation, and a dry finish
Overall Impression: I thought this was a very solid IIPA. It exceeded my expectations. From the first pop of the bottle it left a good impression, as it has a really nice initial nose. The rest of the beer is also quite solid, but it doesn’t live up to the nose. Still though, it is a very solid DIPA.

Pour is a deep orangey gold color with a nice lasting head, strong lacing. Nose is of hops and some light citric fruit (I may not do it justice, my whole face gets congested from september - december). Taste is of all the citrus your mouth can handle, and apparently aptly named as a big IPA.

Pours almost mahogany with thin white head. Huge aroma of carmel and big hops. I can smell it from across the table. Flavor is up front hops and more carmel. finish is lightly hoppy. Nice beer.

22 oz. bottle from Plaza Liquors - Pours a hazy amber color with a half finger thick light tan head. Light tiny spotty lacing. Aroma is toasted malt and light hops. Flavor is toasted malt, fruity esters, and some hop bitterness. Finish is kinda sweet with a nice bit of bitterness. Medium body. This is a decent beer, but I’m sure it’s past its prime. Not much hop character.

Bomber pours clear copper with full tan head. The aroma has some sweet citrus hop notes and some melon mixing with mild Belgian yeasty spices as well as pear and apple like esters. At times I seem to get some pine hops too. The taste is nice and chewy grapefruit hops, malt sweetened tangelo and then rolling toward increasing levels of bitterness. I only get the faintest spicy Belgian yeast notes before robust levels of bitter resiny pine hops take over. Tasty stuff with a pleasing balance between flavor hops and bitter hops and only light amounts of a Belgian yeast influence. I like it like that.

Bomber, good tasting IPA. It had some hints of the imperial flavor, but not overwhelming. I believe an excellent IPA though. Hoppy aroma, pours amber color, citrus hoppy flavor to it, but, I agree with others, maybe not the most balanced. But, it had hop profile, so that made the beer enjoyable. I would not have guessed this brew is 8%abv.

Bottle. Deep and clear amber brown, reluctant but thick beige head with good retention. Aroma of pine > flowers > citrus. Taste is bitter pine resin. Nice.

Bomber shared by marcdesthya.
Appearance : Deep amber with small head. Not much lacing.
Aroma : Crisp herbal hops with floral notes. Citrusy also. Light caramel notes.
Taste : Caramel and crisp floral hops. Finish is quite bitter and very dry. A bit astringent.
Overall : Nice hops nose with interesting malt profile. Finish is a bit too astringent and bitter without enough malt to back it.
