3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
UPDATED: JUN 30, 2015 Out of the bomber and into my snifter, it poured a beautiful hazy orange and left the same color body. A half centimeter white foamy head concaves gently into the body. The smell had rich fruity notes up front with hops backing it up very strong. Malts were more subdued. The taste was pretty much the same. The palate was about a medium with some slight sharpness on the tongue. At 8% for the ABV, the alcohol was fairly hidden well which lead to fairly sessionable beer. Overall, this would be a hop forward double IPA, I liked it more the second time I had it.
Appearance: Pours a nice hazy, orange with a thick 2-3 finger head. Looks enticing!
Smell: Pine, malt and some muted hops which is to be expected considering the age. Don’t know why but i’m getting also a mental image of caramel.
Taste: Definitely the malt overshadows the hops but there’s still some hops kick left. Piney with some citrus and a hint of wood chips.
Mouthfeel: Good carbonation, maybe a little aggressive. Long lasting bitterness rounds it out.

22oz bottle. Pours a cloudy orange gold with a small white head. Aroma is of caramel, pine, and lightly floral. Overall it is a little too sweet smelling and kind of soapy. Taste is mostly the same with fairly light bitterness for an imperial IPA. Caramel, yeast, and bitterness linger. Light-medium body. Average carbonation. OK mouthfeel. My Bottom Line:MacBoost (1935) - Victor, New York, USA - MAY 9, 2016
Piney cologne seeps into orangey fruitiness in this slightly chalky, sandy Double IPA.
Further Personal Perceptions:
-A slice of foam covers the misty orange.
-Bitterness is not overdone at all.
-Alcohol doesn’t show up much in the flavor profile.
-Hop profile lacks clarity for the style.
Bottle from Willeys Store, VT. No cell reception there’s so I couldn’t look it up. Big notes of pine, some Tylenol. Bitter with little tropical hop expression. Average at best. polo_marco (332) - milton, Vermont, USA - FEB 16, 2016
Smells rindy and malty. Nice Orange gold color. Taste of Orange and floral hints though out with nice resin pine hop bite. Feel the warmth of the booze in your stomach. Med body nice carbonation. Nice DIPA. Keep them coming rock art.

650ml bottle Pour is orange/amber in color. Head is small but lingers. Aromas of caramel and roasted malt combined with nice pine scents. Sharp bitterness is offset by the underlying fruitiness of oranges and sweet caramel. Not an overly complex beer, but if hops and bitterness are your thing, this is for you. Expect IBU count to be higher than listed 80. ABV of 8 also offset nicely. Drink anytime, no need to save for special occasion.
Bomber to glass, amber hue with huge thick lasting eggshell white head, good lacing, smells caramel, earthy hop, some citrus and bread, medium body, some pine, smoothed as it sat, minimal lingering bitterness, alcohol well hidden puboflyons (3469) - Allenstown, New Hampshire, USA - MAY 26, 2015
From the 650 ml. bottle. A cloudy copper-amber pour under a moderate cream colored head. The aroma is of roasted malts but more so the resin, and floral hops. The body is medium to better. The alcohol sneaks up on me. Or maybe it is because I had a light lunch. Roasted malts and modest bitterness to finish. Smooth. veronneaupy (241) - Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu, Quebec, CANADA - JAN 22, 2015
Au nez, houblons épicés, herbacés et un cote sucré est présent. En bouche, c'est amer, beau grain et sucré aussi. La finale est moyennement longue, amère et assez sucrée. L'alcool est bien dissimulée.
