COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Previously known as "Unnamed Triple". A golden hue and malty body thinned a bit by the 8% abv. In the background is a light handed kettle addition of fresh sliced ginger root. Entertaining suggestions: pair with some flavor packed fruits such as thin mango slices and fresh peeled pineapple wedges. Try an unusual food pairing of a Chinese shrimp lo mein dish. The ginger complements the shrimp and noodles while the 8% abv will refresh your palette.

pours hazy and a shade of pale coppery amber. it’s capped by a small off white head and sporadic spots of lacing. really fruity nose... mango, orange, light banana, earthy spice/cinnamon, yeast and grass. the palate is barely sweet... bonus points for a tripel... flavors of peaches and mango are added to the characters in the aroma with a spicy drying finish. the medium body is uncharacteristically smooth for the style... the carbonation instead is soft and airy. it’s not bad... not a whole bunch of complexity but it is solid... and not sweet. 7/3/7/4/16/3.7

Pours a hazy orangeish brown with a nice off white head. Aroma of spices, banana, malt, yeasts, ginger. Flavor is ginger, banana, yeasts, a little bit of bitterness, yeasts, malts, coriander. Not quite balanced but still very solid. I wonder what some time would do to this one. Good brew.

DrDavid (957) - Johnson, Vermont, USA - MAR 2, 2009
Bottle. Fruity moderately sweet aroma, with spices, including ginger. Hazy orange body, decent off-white head with webby lacing. Flavor is malty, spicy (especially ginger), some fruity sweetness. Develops to a pleasing slightly bitter finish. This beer is another indication that Rock Art is really hitting its stride as a quality Vermont brewer, ranking among the best in the state.

brewandbbq (269) - Manchester, New Hampshire, USA - JAN 16, 2009
Pours cloudy orange with a gold hue. A dense, three inch head settled slowly to a rocky cap and plenty of clingy lacework. Looking real nice. Aromatics lead off with yeasty spice and light malt, with earthy overtones. Cloves, ginger, coriander, bubblegum, bannanas, peppercorns, and cardamon. Light bodied with a soft, pillowy mouthfeel. Crisp and creamy. The pallet starts with a blast of pungent spice. Bitter ginger, cloves, and candied coriander. An intense and somewhat harsh bitterness follows through along with lingering peppery spice and husky malt, Finishes with spice-spiked yeast, and an almost astringent bitterness. The beer was very promising until it hit the palate. Overspiced, very bitter, and a bit harsh. Maybe a year or two in the cellar would mellow this one out.

Bomber - Poured a nice orange amber in color with a small white head that quickly faded to a thin rim around the top. Some lacing on the glass. Aroma is dominated by Belgian yeast and peaches/apricots... some ginger or coriander. Flavor is fairly sweet with ginger and Belgian yeastiness. Finishes with a small amount of bitterness and a lingering hint of ginger. A bit unusual for a "tripel", but I really liked it... well worth repeating!

Boutip (6432) - Gatineau, Quebec, CANADA - AUG 26, 2008
Bottle: Poured an orangey color ale with a big foamy head with good retention and some lacing. Aroma was totally dominated by ginger which is not an ingredient often found in tripel but it was still enjoyable. Taste was also dominated by loads of ginger with some coriander and a sweet Belgian style malt profile. Full body with great carbonation and no alcohol was detectable. Definitely not close too the style but nonetheless very enjoyable.

hophead75 (2012) - Largo, Florida, USA - AUG 25, 2008
Hazy light amber/orange in color with a medium head that dissipates but retains pretty well. Aroma of ginger, and belgian yeast- some banana esters, light spice and some alcohol. Taste is malty and fairly sweet for the style- ginger, light banana, and a good amount of malty sweetness- light caramel and toasted malt. Finishes with a very light hop bitterness, as well as some alcohol.
