Bottle. Amber with light beige head. Aromas of biscuit, flower, herb, pine. Flavors of biscuit, honey, pine, grapefruit. Slightly dry and salty finish. Full body with round mouthfeel and moderate, soft carbonation. Very drinkable 8% and 90 IBU. thornecb (5911) - Marblehead, Massachusetts, USA - FEB 13, 2011
Pours cloudy deep gold into a tulip. Off-white head with medium retention recedes to coat surface. Resin aromas. Medium bodied with malt, bread and mild resin from front to back. alexanderj (3605) - Branson, Missouri, USA - FEB 13, 2011
Bottle; poured a murky dark amber with an off white head. Aroma of fruit, caramel, alcohol, earth and a bit of pine. Flavor had a nice aura to it; caramel, fruit, earth and alcohol. Some earthiness. A pretty solid beer. GreatLibations (1854) - Last Supper, Arizona, USA - DEC 26, 2010
Pours a lasting head of a caramel color. smells of citrus and white candy. Full nectar with creamy effers. A bulky heavyweight delivering a wallop of a hop slam. Not sweet and a bit salty, this brew is tasty. williamherbert (1544) - Syracuse, New York, USA - JUN 20, 2010
Chlorine and mineral / wet rocks aroma. A hint of spruce.
Appears clear amber orange. Sweats on the outside of the glass.
Flavor is heavy wood hops. A little too one-note for me, though not unpleasant. Some floor cleaner. I could have used a little malty respite; instead the malts are burnt pumpernickel.
Feels thick, with a little bite on the end. It’s double-barrell bitterness. I do wish it had been a little more balanced.

Bottle. Pours orange with an off white head. Spicy/piney hop aroma, with some toffee like malty notes. The flavor has slightly harsh hop profile, not too bad but it could be more refined. Decent enough. Hawksfan17 (890) - Raleigh, North Carolina, USA - MAY 11, 2010
Pours amber with a frothy white head. Spicy hops aroma with hints of fruit. Some notes of fruit in the taste but the flavor is overwhelmingly bitter and that holds for a while in the palate. mesperon (205) - Hillsdale, New Jersey, USA - APR 10, 2010
Hazy reddish amber with fluffy head and sticky lace. Weak aroma of piney, and slightly resiny and citrus hops. Fuller feel with medium carbonation. Strong bitter bite to start- orange peel and vegetable taste. Develops into Piney hops, with some herbal and citrussy notes. Long bitter grapefruit finish. Good, but expected more from the promise of the label. chriso (7533) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - FEB 23, 2010
22oz bomber bottle, tasted in December 2009. Hazy orange colour. Big flowery hops throughout. Strong grapefruit and pine elements in the flavour. Bitter, very lingering aftertaste lingers very long. A good, sturdy DIPA without really scaling the heights - balancing malt is in rather short supply.
