An interesting find....A Phoenician in Jersey sees a Kokopelli that sparks interest....Saw this little gem on the shelves at a Bottle King at X-mas...Why not? Nice Beer!! Pours a golden yellow, with a little head....perfect balance of maltyness to alcohol...not one of those over-sweet double IPA’s. Very smooth, and it impressed even the wine snobs in the fam. You East Coaster’s have a decent DIPA on your hands...not the best, but a very good attempt! willblake (2654) - Bel Air, Maryland, USA - DEC 19, 2008
20081219 Bomber from Abes. Shiny amber- gold with small but lacing white head. Pretty standard, mediocre IIPA aromas of citrusy, lightly resinous, lightly pithy hops and sweet malts. Reminds me of an orange cranberry muffin for some reason. Medium body with even but tingly eff. Nice amount of finishing bitterness but rounded out with a dose of fusel alcohol and mild astringency. Not one of the best efforts from Rock Art, and at PA prices, not exactly the bargain that usually makes these beers worth it. HopheadHans (804) - Bay Area, California, USA - DEC 12, 2008
Bottle. Pours with an amber to copper color and a nice large foamy head. Initially it seems ver simply constructed with some strong hops flavors and a thinner body. hen it warms up it becomes more complex with some malt shining through and a better profile. Sampled at Big Pour Mesa, AZ. Murky and unfiltered. Cloudy yellow with small off white head. Fairly balanced between the malt and hops...grapefruit and orange peel. The pine is less prominant. Its a tad thin and has a bit of an iced tea flavor. Doesnt really leave me wanting more. Swolf3 (262) - Elkton, Maryland, USA - DEC 2, 2008
Bottle thanks to Robert. Poured a copper amber with off white head. Aroma is citrus and hops. Taste is similar with a nice sweet finish. had nice smooth finish and lighter body. Decent.

Bottle shared by robert at stateline. Golden color, good head. Sweet aroma of tangerines/oranges and hops. Taste is the same, sweet tangerine taste, good hop bite. The texture is light but not watery. Very easy to drink. Good beer Sparky (2244) - Phoenix, Arizona, USA - NOV 29, 2008
Bottle. Pours a cloudy iced tea amber with a one finger light tan head and decent lacing. Nose is sweet caramel malt and citrus hops. Taste is earthy hops, caramel malt and tart yellow grapefruit with a sweet citrus finish. Medium mouth feel. Decent DIPA. SuperDave (1932) - Beautiful Sunny Mesa, Arizona, USA - NOV 28, 2008
Slightly hazy deep amber pour with a foamy tan head. Aroma of light roasted malt and grapefruity and floral hops. Lots of sweet malt in the flavor as well, with the grapefruit coming through on the dry, not so bitter finish. Smooth and highly drinkable, but not really what I was expecting from a DIPA. blankboy (7689) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - NOV 21, 2008
Bottle (22oz) shared with HogTownHarry and biegaman -- courtesy of HogTownHarry. Pours a really hazy orange-amber with an average size frothy off-white head. Aroma of caramel malt -- it’s quite malt forward -- with hops in the back. Flavour: This is a DIPA?! This is 8%!? Did they bottle the wrong beer? A lot of my favourite IPAs are hoppier and ’bigger’ then this. it’s not bad, but it tastes more like a regular IPA with a somewhat long bitter finish. Again, if this were an IPA I’d say this was pretty good for a DIPA: FAIL. hellbilly (3249) - scottsdale über alles, Arizona, USA - NOV 20, 2008
pours coppery amber with a small creamy off white cap. big time floral hoppy aroma... i’m talking straight sweet flowers mixed with honey, some orange zest/maybe grapefruit and a distinct cooked canned pineapple smell. the palate is malty sweet... flavors of caramely grains, citrus and the aroma characteristics. it’s in no way bitter (but the hops are definitely there) but it’s got a surprisingly dry finish with some leafy hop aftertaste. the medium body is quite creamy and luckily not sticky. which, makes for an easy drinker.
