Copper color with tiny bubbles and a fluffy off-white head. Strong citrus hop aroma over a firm roasted malt. Medium body with frothy carbonation. Strong roasted malt flavor with citrus and pine hop. Seems slightly ashy. At 90 IBU it’s bitter, but it isn’t very harsh. Just totally dominates the mouth. Clean, hoppy finish. Bottle (22oz). Shared with blankboy and biegaman, via trade with glouglouburb. Murky amber pour, large fizzy off-white head. Floral/herbal aroma, orange zest and white glue - interesting. Taste is pretty mild - slight resin and pine bitteness, papery malt - 90 IBUs? not a fucking chance - pleasant and leafy, but not bitter at all. Slightly astringent, weakly carbonated body - ehhh. not bad. jimhilt (2610) - Bow, New Hampshire, USA - OCT 25, 2008
Pours a one finger cream head that fades quickly to a ring, leaving a good lace. Hazy amber color. Light-medium carbonation and medium bodied. Slight grapefruit nose. Flavor is grapefruit. Lingering grapefruit aftertaste. Higher ABV is hidden. 90 IBUs is too much for me. There are better double IPAs like Stoudt’s or Speakeasy’s Double IPA. $3.49 for a 22oz bottle from Cabot Quechee Store Quechee, VT.

Bomber. Aroma of pine and sweet malt. Hazy copper body with good off white head and good lacing left on pint glass. Sweet sugary malt with some citrus and mediun bitter. Sweet dry citrus on the palate just didn’t have that ahhh factor for me, to say man this was good. kennydiaz (358) - Manahawkin, New Jersey, USA - OCT 9, 2008
MILDLY HOPPY WITH A SLIGHTLY BITTER TASTE. POURS WITH NOT MUCH NOT MUCH OF A HEAD.IT HAS A NICE COPPER COLOR AND THE HIGH ALCOHOL CONTENT IS WELL HIDDEN.

(Bottle). Fragrant citrus aroma. Hazy dark orange body, off-white head. Orange semi-sweet citrus flavor, very bitter, refreshing and pleasing. Finish sort of peters out. Overall, not bad at all. Rusty (1547) - Mesa, Arizona, USA - SEP 27, 2008
Pours a nice hazy orangeish brown with a large off white active head. Aroma is hops, pine, grapefruit. Flavor is malt, hops and a little pine with a little bittering in the finish.
Not a bad IPA, worth trying at least once. cbeers21 (693) - Miami, Florida, USA - SEP 19, 2008
Hazy copper, with thinner head. Nice aroma, grapefruits, piney hops, citrus zest and after the hops slam in the nostrils, more subtle caramel and vanilla smottheness appears. Promising nose doesnt reflect the dissapointing flavor. Not too much depth or "roundedness" to this brew as I felt it left my tastebuds a little flat and expectant for more. Pretty tame for the style and not worth trying again. JoeMcPhee (9426) - Toronto, ON, Ontario, CANADA - SEP 13, 2008
Deep hazy orange-amber brew with athin white head. Aroma is quite light and understated. A bit of light woody earthy resinousness. It’s very understated. Low to moderate bitterness (no way this is even close to 100 IBU) and just a touch of sweet peachy hop aroma. There is a soft sweetness up front and a suggestion of hops, but it’s really bland and quite forgettable. lemasney (398) - Trenton, New Jersey, USA - SEP 9, 2008
