Orange, amber with white lacing. Mighty spicy full-bodied hop flavor; big palette and slightly dry. Really good, will drink again. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Tap at The Farmhouse in Burlington. Commonshawn, rosskyle, and samadouche involved. Snifter pour. Orange and golden with orange wearing the pants in the color relationship. Aroma is definitely citrus with heavy grapefruit influence. Sugars also come through. Taste is bright and also citrus forward. Breakfast juice comes to mind. Mostly bitterness especially at the finish and aftertaste. I think it’s that element that holds it back from really good. Should also be noted the menu calls this the Grapefruit Double IPA.

Enjoyed a bottle of this beer in a restaurant in Woodstock, Vermont, poured into a tulip glass to drink. The beer had a deep amber-copper color with a very large and foamy off white head that had great retention, and very good cling and lacing. It had a pretty strong floral and citrus hops aroma along with a bit of pine and yeast with spice. The taste was mostly bitter with a blend of citrus and floral flavors along with some spices. It was a mostly dry beer with above average carbonation and a thicker, fuller mouthfeel.

On tap. Deep orange with a small head. Very light and grassy. Light body and mouthfeel. Dry.

Deep burnt copper coloured body with a two centimetre tall off-white head and more loose sediment than i’ve ever seen in a beer before - this one is a pure colloid. Aroma of bright grassy and herbal hops with a hint of grapefruit, a decent amount of yeast and some light sugars noticeable. Medium-bodied; Assertive grassy and grapefruity hops with a very mild and perhaps light malt backbone, more of a single IPA than double, for sure. Aftertaste has the grassy and lightly herbal hops with a little malt, some sweetness and not much else - no depth nor complexity. Overall, more of a single IPA (which is fine by me), but still lacking in depth and malt backbone with no complexity at all. I sampled this 65 cL bottle purchased from Liqour Outlet in Boonton, New Jersey on 28-May-2012 for US$5.55 sampled at home in Washington on 14-October-2012.

Pours a light brown with rocky off white  head. Pulp makes it appear to be apple cider. Aroma of apples and yeast. Tastes of hop notes of pine and fruit. Strong delayed malt presence that is buttery and rich. Bitterness reemerges from the creamy caramel malt and follows into the aftertaste. Butter flavor is what stands out about this IPA.

Johnsense (1755) - - JUL 13, 2012
Amber pour, good sized white head. Pine, Grapefruit in the aroma, some caramel sweetness as well. Lots of Pine up front, Grapefruit, Lemon rind, caramel malt. Medium body, fairly good carbonation. Not a world beater by any stretch but a solid IIPA. Off topic - I wish this brewery would challenge itself a bit more.

22oz bottle in a styrofoam cup. Pours copper with a lacy, cream-colored head. Aroma of citrusy hops, a little light fruits, and some caramel malts. Flavor the same, with some fruitiness. Average texture. A decent beer, but not the best of its style.

UDBeernut (2883) - Saint Johns, Florida, USA - JUN 3, 2012
Bomber courtesy of some on a BA. Translucent amber capped by small off white head with fair retention. Nose is inviting with caramel over pine and grapefruit. Bitter is the taste, overly bitter with little malt coming through. Pine lingers in the mouth. A bit watery feeling the the mouth.

AdamChandler (5181) - Enfield, New Hampshire, USA - MAY 19, 2012
On tap at Rock art 2 finger crystal clear head. SRM of 4. Light gold and orange appearance. Smell is great hop backbone. Citra and amarillo. Taste is gigantic. Lots of Hops. Dominating the glass entirely. Heavy body. No balance.
