/Brugmansia’s Cnudde tasting. Pours slight cloudy with a lacing white head. Mild mouldy and light malty aroma. Flavour has a mild bitter and slight malty note. Ends light and roasted malty with light barley classic flavours of wood and fruity malt flavours. Yet its quite thin bodied.
A hazy amber beer with a thin lazing beige head. The aroma is sweet malty with quite a lot of hops. The flavor is sweet with a dry malty note combined with a light fruity note and a light oxidation. I’m surprised that it is not better. Papsoe (25063) - Frederiksberg, DENMARK - APR 12, 2008
(Bottle 35,5 cl) Courtesy of markgugs. Pours a clear, dark amber golden with an off-white head. Discreet aroma of overripe fruit and some spices - mint? Medium body, a little caramel and spices. The bitternes is very discreet. What a thin Barley Wine. 290308 Leighton (21234) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - OCT 2, 2009
Had a pint on draft at The Red Square in Burlington, VT. I enjoyed this brew a whole bunch and was surprised to see a sub-3 rating. Pours a rich, dark brown with a medium head. Nose is roasted malts and hints of hop. Flavor is complex, not surprisingly, dazzling the palette with the myriad sensations. Notes of caramel, chocolate and coffee. Finish is very smooth. I want to try this beer again.

Dark brown color with rocky head; creamy head. Aroma of roasted malt and milk. Good mouthfeel, caramel and roasted malt taste. The smoothness makes it easily drinkable, but not special.
UPDATED: JUL 16, 2003 Re-rate July 17th, 2003: Orangey-medium brown; Woody, earthy aroma, slightly chalky, with a hint of smoke. Light in body for the style, but it's been that way for years. Hints of wood, toffee, whisps of smoke. Smooth and light. A strong brown ale, if anything. MiP (15667) - Sønderborg, DENMARK - SEP 10, 2010
Bottle. Good malty aroma, a little weak, perhaps. Seemingly hazy dark brown colour. Good stable light brown head. The flavour is nicely malty, has some alcohol. Quite roasted, like a good imperial brown ale. Theis (15152) - Frederiksberg, DENMARK - NOV 19, 2008
Bottle at GABF 2008. Dark brown - offwhite head. Chocolate, cookies, grains, barley, straw, dark bread, dryness, fruity. Wierd but nice. Ratman197 (14826) - Arvada, Colorado, USA - NOV 14, 2005
Bottle poured a clear dark brown with a long lasting amber head. Aromas of cocoa, a bit of coffee and some nuttiness. Palate was medium bodied and smooooth. Flavors of coffee, mocha, a hint of nuts with a smooth lingering finish. This is’nt a barleywine IMNTBHO, it’s more of an Impy brown, if they called it what it is I would probably rated it even higher.
