ChrisOs Kook Tasting. Hazy brown beer. Chocolate nose. Aged chocolate malt. No hops or anything else just light powdered chocolate.

(22oz bottle) Large beige head atop cloudy dark brown body, nice lacing. Aroma is moderately sweet, caramel, some raisin, nut, brown sugar, yeast, faint spiced banana. Taste is moderately sweet, raisin/prune, caramel, nut, some alcohol. Some alcohol dryness in the finish. (Bottle) Pours a cloudy amber body with a medium beige head. Aroma of caramel, baked honey, some chocolate, and light clove. Flavor of toasted malt, citrus, golden raisins, caramel, and some molasses with a dry finish.

A dark brown body with a bit of white head. Recent from the brewery itself. Yeast aroma. The taste was a bit Rochfort-like and drying. Hop bitterness in the end. Bottle... Clear ruby ale with a small, fizzy, off-white head. Good retention. The aroma is of a sweet, Brooklyn, NY chocolate egg cream; Hershey’s syrup with a touch of lactic acid. Chocolaty, Belgian dubbel flavor. No European yeast complexity, but a nice, malty experience nonetheless. Hints of dark raisins and lactic acidity. So what is this beer? Belgain strong ale? Brown Ale? Get a bottle and let me know what you think because I have no idea. But it is pretty good. World class? No. But good anyway.
