A dark brown body with a bit of white head. Recent from the brewery itself. Yeast aroma. The taste was a bit Rochfort-like and drying. Hop bitterness in the end. Not as full mouthfeel as I would like, but a satisfying Belgian effort nevertheless and one of the better ones from this brewery that I have tried. jcwattsrugger (12559) - Florida and, New Jersey, USA - DEC 14, 2009

Bottle... Clear ruby ale with a small, fizzy, off-white head. Good retention. The aroma is of a sweet, Brooklyn, NY chocolate egg cream; Hershey’s syrup with a touch of lactic acid. Chocolaty, Belgian dubbel flavor. No European yeast complexity, but a nice, malty experience nonetheless. Hints of dark raisins and lactic acidity. Full-bodied and lightly oily with medium carbonation. Gently bitter, mineral, dry finish. Bottle provided by growler. Thanks Scott!
