Draught at Brewpub during RBSG DC 06 Weekend
Hazy yellow, no head and light lacing. Nose of light sulpher and bright esters. No wheat and some sweetness. The flavor is nice, a bit in the middle and those tasty esters are gone. Finishes grassy. Eh. SeamusNeko (45) - Anacostia, Washington DC, USA - SEP 10, 2004
Pours a cloudy pale yellow topped by a small head by weisse standards. Retention was ok and little specks of foam were left on the glass. Pleasant aromas of bananas and mild bubblegum. Hints of cloves. A quintessential hefe nose. Wow, an American-made hefe that delivers on the promise. Light tastes of wheaty malts with notes of banana and cloves on the finish. It’s light and crisp, and, of course, refreshing.
Overall: Allright, an authentic hefe. I’m growing more impressed by this brewery, at least their one-offs anyways. Wakie (612) - Centreville, Virginia, USA - AUG 22, 2004
Major disappointment. Not at all interesting and really had more of a grapefruit beer taste than anything else. blank (996) - Austin, Texas, USA - AUG 19, 2004
a rather unimpressive hefewiseizen. even a lemon didn’t help much. had the standard hefe flavors, but none of the grapefruit/ bubble gum sutllties. Improved as it warmed, but not that much bu11zeye (13029) - Frisco (Dallas), Texas, USA - JUL 13, 2004
(Draught) Pours a cloudy maze color with a medium-sized white head. Flavors of lemon and wheat. Smooth, creamy palate (milkshake like).
