A left over bottle submitted at the Indiana state fair entered as an American IPA. I didn’t taste any rye and the hops were weak. Possibly the bottle was aged.

Fat @ Rock Bottom, Nashville. Oklar kopparfärgad med ett medelstort vitt skum. Dofter och smaker av säd, karamell och frukt. Något tunn i kroppen, distinkt beska i avslutningen.

kassner (1666) - Wexford, Pennsylvania, USA - MAY 6, 2012
a nice beer, amber color and a hint of rye but short on hops and not as good as their regular India PALE ALE.

This is a nice smooth beer. Good bite from the hops as well as the rye. Will drink a few of these.

On tap at the Rock Bottom in Milwaukee, pours a red/amber with a nice head and some lacing, aroma and flavor were pretty weak, some grain mixed in with a light hop presence.

Draft at Rock Bottom, downtown Indianapolis. Billed as an IPA and that’s pretty much what it tasted like — an IPA with rye. Cloudy amber body with a short, off-white head, mostly diminshing. Aroma of toasted grain, citrus, orange, rye. The flavor was lightly to moderately sweet and lightly to moderately bitter. It finished lightly sweet and moderately bitter. Medium body, water texture, lively carbonation. The rye was noticable in the finish, providing a dry bite. Interesting take on an IPA.

Bomber - I have now had enough of this brewery’s beers to recognize just how homogeneous they are - estery, yeasty, somewhat earthy, and, in the case of their bottled products, faintly oxidized - sweet, doughy, grainy, a touch of spicy rye - there isn’t really much to distinguish this beer - some sweetened black tea flavor - boring, but drinkable.

Ratman197 (14946) - Arvada, Colorado, USA - OCT 19, 2009
Bomber poured a clear reddish amber with a lingereing ring of amber foam. Aromas of rye, cocoa, carmel and a hint of fruittiness. Palate was medium bodied and smooth. Flavors of rye, carmel, light cocoa and a hint of fruittiness with a smooth lingering spiced finish.

thedm (6214) - Fort Wayne, Indiana, USA - JUN 25, 2008
This draft brew fom the College Park location in Indianapolis, IN poured a small head of mostly diminishing foamy finely sized bubbles that left behind a yellow-orange colored transparent soft carbonated body. The mouth feel was tingly from start to finish. The aroma was of mild rye and hops in the aftertaste. The flavor contained notes of rys and hops.

hotstuff (5173) - Fort Wayne, Indiana, USA - MAY 1, 2008
Draft at College Park location in Indianapolis, IN.Small off-white head that mostly diminished, good lacing, transparent, no carbonation observed, and a gold hue. Nose was hoppy, grain and citrus. Ditto for the flavor. Smooth, thin mouthfeel and light in body. Quaffable and very easy to drink brew.
