From a growler thanks to Drewbeerme. Dark brown small tan head. Dry semi-dark fruit, subtle yeast. Yeast and sweet malt. Medium body. I bet this is better fresh. drewbeerme (3920) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - FEB 23, 2008
growler 3 days old from RB Chicago. pours dark reddish brown with small white head around the rim. aroma has banana, chocolate, bready, and cloves. flavor has that banana cloves thing going on with a soft touch of milk chocolate aiding nicely to the beer. slightly medicinal but otherswise pretty solid. From the tap this poured an almost murky dark brown head. The creamy tan head hung around for the duration, coating the Mug Club mug with sheets of lacing. The aroma had was that of an aging banana covered with rich milk chocolate, some ground clove sprinled on top. The spritzy bodied brew’s flavor mirrored the aroma with perhaps a splash of vanilla extract added in. Nice.User29624 (1683) - - DEC 29, 2007

Another solid beer from RB. Poured very dark brown with a medium head. Nice aroma, banana stands out the most. I thought the beer was an interesting combination and the banana and cloves flavor were very good. I had this after a bourbon beer...so my taster might not have been as good :) Ughsmash (7508) - Pewaukee, Wisconsin, USA - DEC 9, 2007
On tap at RB – Chicago. Poured very deep brown with a short, creamy beige head. The aroma picked up banana, cloves, and chocolate upfront with tobacco and toasty black malts and barley close behind.. nice components, but a bit muddled. Tangy wheat makes a very good first impression on the tip of the tongue.. fills out nicely with overripe bananas covered in semi-sweet chocolate, paired with vanilla and drawn caramel.. coffee bitterness and some astringency at the finish. Darker, medium-bodied feel on the palate.. spices and wheaty tartness made it rather refreshing. Nice one!
