This straw-colored Lager is brewed with Pilsen malt to create an easy drinking beer with a crisp and clean finish. A small portion of Mt. Hood hops lend a subtle spicy hop character to this perfect introduction to handcrafted beer.

[2496-20090926] Tap. Mild petrol straw aroma. Clear, pale yellow body with a quick creamy white head. Nice hoppy straw flavour with lightly toasted rich grains. Light-medium body. Fair.

Draft sample at RB - Chicago. Poured clear pale color with an average frothy white head that mostly lasted with fair lacing. Moderate grainy and small hop aroma. Light body with a thin texture with soft carbonation. Light sweet flavor with a light sweet finish of moderate duration. Worth having once.

2009-09-26. Crisp pale yellow, small white head. Mild aroma, muted yeast, florals. 4+ Flavour is quite light, muted floral and yeast, mild muted pale malts. Average palate. Ok for what it is. Briefly convinced our table mate that she was drinking Coors Light... Nuff said. On tap at Rock Bottom Chicago

Pale straw colour. White head. Very, very pale. The nose is lean and light. There is an odd nose of chlorine in here that I could certainly do without. Despite how light it is, it’s oddly dirty and not all that pleasant. Meh.

Tap at the Brewpub: Very pale yellow with a white ring of head. Nearly no aromatics. Some corn and straw. Vacant body and very watery. There’s a very subdued grain note with a touch of corn, cereal and later straw. Only a very light, hardly notable grassy note- hardly bittered. A boring pale lager under any standards, but especially for a brewpub.

On tap @ brewpub. Sampled as part of a sampler. Not much here...smells of citrus and grass. Light in flavor and alcohol.

(10/9/08) Draught sample at the brewpub in Chicago. Clear yellow-ish golden color with a white head. Aroma has light graininess, malt and some hops. Sweetish flavor, malty, rather grainy, with some bread. Light to medium-bodied.

Objectively speaking: Clean, but bland.
I like: As light as it gets for when you don’t feel like drinking beer.
I dislike: Very timid hops. Minimalist malt profile, grainy. Watery texture. Just plain bland, straightforwardly so.

In short: An extra boring watery entry-level blonde beer
How: Tap at brewpub
The look: Clear yellow body with a long-lasting white head
In long: Extra-slim slightly watery body. Basic flavourless cereals with a drop of lemon. Offensively flavourless. I’ll try to be positive and say that the carbonation is appropriately very soft. Light it is, any lighter and it would float up away from the glass.
