At RB Chicago: Very light yellow with a nice enough head. Nice crisp edge with a lightly tart finish. For a "light" this is pretty good stuff. 1FastSTi (3360) - Glendale, Wisconsin, USA - OCT 1, 2005
You know, most people bitch about this style not being all that good. I think that this beer is a prime example of a good version of this style. Granted, the beer didn’t look very nice. It was a clear yellow/straw body. It did have a creamy white head. The aroma has apparent Hallertau hops and was nicely spicy. The flavor is Pilsner-esque. Also malty with some spicy hops. I felt this beer was refreshingly clean. Very unoffensive. The palate was medium-light and clean. Went down very smoothly. I agree with Braudog. This one’s good. (very well-made). jasonp (1581) - Ashburn, Virginia, USA - SEP 22, 2006
On tap at RB Chicago, Aug 2006. Clear light yellow with a white head. Aroma of grain, light lemon and corn. Flavor is very fresh and grainy with notes of lemon and a light grassy noble hop quality. Crisp, light-bodied, smooth with lively carbonation. May be the best "lite" beer I’ve had to date. Nothing I’d get seconds of, but well made. No detectable flaws in a difficult style to brew. holdenn (2127) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - JAN 17, 2007
Sample on tap. Frothy white head, almost a clear golden color, my fingers grabbing the glass are barely distorted as I look through it. Smells like Miller or some pale lager, not very fresh, not much aroma at all. Light straw flavors clean, smooth, lightly sweet finish. Its a pale light lager ... few RBers would call it a favorite style, but for its style and for what Peter Crowley is going for, he put out a drinkable light lager that the masses will enjoy. Had this on tap at RB Chicago. This was a really good light beer. VERY light tasting...Very nice color, very little head. As far as light beers go, this was definitely acceptable!

Chicago RB. For the style, I found this really good. Had a nice creamy mouthfeel, reminded me of a good cream ale. frankenkitty (2014) - Oak Lawn, Illinois, USA - JUN 10, 2005
Described as "straw-colored" and I agree, with a filmy, white head. Hallertauer hops came across light and herbal in the aroma and gave a mild bitterness to the flavor. Light bodied with a dry finish, this is a good beer on a hot day.

Sample at the brewpub. Very light and clear with a bit of head and some actual lacing! Faintly sour, bathroom sort of aroma at first, but a decent graininess takes over...very light but with some nice crispness and real hoppiness towards the finish. On tap at RB Chicago. Pale golden colour with a mostly diminishing white head. Light lime and grainy aroma. Dry, lightly fruity flavour. Light bodied, refreshing. StewardofGondor (2088) - Washington Heights - Milwaukee, Wisconsin, USA - OCT 3, 2005
Chicago. Crystal clear and pale yellow in color with a saliva wisp for the head and a white wrung around the edges. Fresh cotton aroma complimented by lemons, cornmeal and honey squeezed from that cute little plastic bear. Crisp and brisk at first touch, washing quickly across the palate. A staunch lemon-herbed crescent roll fills the gap in its wake. Cleansing, active carbonation. Could have been a lot worse.
