On tap at the brewpub. Hazy golden colour. Has some nice grapfruit in the nose and nice hoppy taste. I found this one very well balanced and better than the double diamond.

On cask at DOLA. Pours a hazy yellow white. Doughy malts with lemons and grapefruits. Lightly bitter flavors with creamy malts and citrus. Finishes dry. Simple but enjoyable.

Tap at Brewpub pre DLD 09 ...amber ... thin white head ... sweet light hop ... light and fruity ... quite hoppy ... quite a lot of the pale ale hop and some pine.

Draft at RB Chicago. Pours a cloudy gold, nose is very much C-hops and Amarillo. I get the characteristic soft rubber and mango/apricot of the amarillo and some resin. Taste is pretty good, not as harsh as other hoppy beers from RBC. Fresh fruity notes and again, Centennial resin. Smooth and dry finish. Easy drinking and very nice. Good on ya, Pete.

tap at RB Chicago. pours hazy gold with white head. nose of pinneapple and grapefruit. flavor of citrus, pinnapple, a bit earthy dry finish. a nice very hop forward brew but the back bone is a bit watery and doesn’t hold up to the 71lbs of hops/barrel used. this is still the hoppiest brew in Chicago right now and tastes very good.

Cask at Day of the Living Ales 2009, GI Wrigleyville, Chicago: It poured a hazy gold body capped by a small white head. It had an aroma of yellow grapefruit, pine, flowers, and sweet grainy malt. Fairly well balanced in the flavor up front, but the bitterness surged near the end, finishing on a dry, bitter note. Nice.

cask from DotLA. great, balanced, hoppy, bready. RB chicago always puts out great IPAs and this one is no exception.
