Lubiere (14131) - Ottawa, Ontario, CANADA - MAY 30, 2010
A beautiful golden amber ale with a thin white head. Strong fruity esters in aroma, with light solvent notes. In mouth, a cloying sweet malt with astringent notes, light bananas, off notes, solvents. On tap at Rockfest April 25 2010, as Davin’s Sticke Alt. jsf23mr (218) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - MAY 3, 2010

Pours reddish brown with a medium white head. Aroma of spice, malt, and caramel. A bit bitter finish. TheAlum (7164) - Aurora, Illinois, USA - MAY 2, 2010
Sampled on tap at RockFest (Chicago, IL). Pours a nice deep amber, darker and hazed. A tannish beige head that laces well and sticks around. Aromas are caramel and toffee, sticky sweet, with some darker apple fruit and pear. Light hopping. Initial is caramel and brown sugar bread, banana and light floral bitterness. A touch of toffee, sweeter chocolate. Nice, lighter, medium bodied, sweeter slanted as an Alt should be drewbeerme (3920) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - OCT 25, 2009
on tap at RB chicago. pours hazed amber with off white head. nose is toasted malt, with over ripe red fruits and mild citrus notes. flavors are toasted sweet malts, citrus and spice (almost clove), mildly ashy in the finish. very sweet on the front end. Draft at RBC. Pours a pleasant bronze. Nose is a bit hot and sweet with a touch of spice. On taste, it’s not very well put together, leading you in different directions. I’d expect more malty/biscuity notes and less fizzy alcohol notes. Not a big fan and its too boozy.

On tap at the brewpub. Luckily I had this one before the Smackdown IPA as I can see why it would have numbed the taste buds! Pours a nice soft brown with a shade of red and a decent white frothy head. Aroma is a nice blend of toasty malt and biscuit and some light esb like light fruitiness mixed with just a hint of hop spice. Flavor is also nicely biscuity and refreshingly fruity with a very noticeable earthy hop character that was very pleasant in the finish. Medium creamy body and a nice active carbonation. Really tasty alt User29624 (1683) - - OCT 14, 2009
Has this beer on draft tonight, but unfortunately after having the Simcoe Smackdown! IPA, which probably ruined my taste buds (or at least numbed them). Pours reddish brown with an average sized head. Aroma of spice and malt. The 7.0% ABV was evident and this seemed like a much stronger and sweeter beer than any other Alt I have ever had. Solid beer though.
