Thanks, Zeswaft, for identifying this as an AKA for Jeff’s Dirty Little Secret. It poured out thick, dark brown, and headless. It smelled of roasted malt, some chocolate, and a light berry fruitiness. This much have been aged as the only hop characteristic is a mild bitterness that enteres the flavor near the finish. Pretty good brew.sersdf (1020) - chicago, Illinois, USA - MAR 7, 2007

UPDATED: MAR 12, 2007 NotLA3. ditto on the jeff evan’s dirty little secret from zeswaft. great. it was pretty close to a stout and i actually got a lot of raspberry from it. not as thin as the clare’s thirstier ale was. pretty good, malty. Zeswaft (1780) - Seattle, Washington, USA - MAR 5, 2007
I guess this is the same as "Jeff Evans’ Dirty Little Secret (Winter Warmer)" from NotLA 2007 in chicago. It was a good beer. Tasted bourbon aged to me. Lots of stout character...chocolate malts. not a lot of hops but some underlying citrus. Strange beer. taste is a lot different than the aroma if i remember correctly. Draught at the brew pub. Cloudy chocolate brown color with an off white head that laced the glass. Attractive flowery, grapefruity hop aroma and flavor accented by a bit of alcohol and a malty chocolate backbone. Delicious.
